What You Will Be Doing

You will be joining Extend's Revenue Analytics team where you will be our first hire to focus on product analytics. You will drive revenue by partnering with marketing, product, engineering, and business leaders to identify new product opportunities. 

  • Work with cross-functional teams to turn customer and product analytics insights into revenue opportunities
  • Work with data engineering and product teams to ensure proper data tracking is set up for features and products, and support debugging and development of new ETL processes
  • Experiment and A/B test customer-facing product touch points on merchant sites
  • Perform exploratory data analysis to assemble and productize metrics to assess and gauge activity across the Extend platform
  • Drive increased attach rates and incremental revenue for our merchant partners and Extend through optimization of marketing campaigns 
  • Analyze and recommend pricing strategies for the sales team to drive client acquisition and optimization
  • Identify and execute on new revenue opportunities and conduct quantitative analysis to understand and prioritize strategic initiatives

What We Are Looking For

  • 3+ years of data science and analytics experience, preferably with a digital product or service
  • Experience with customer and product analytics techniques, such as segmentation, cohort analysis, conversion rate optimization, multivariate testing, etc.
  • Mastery of Python or R
  • Strong knowledge of SQL, structuring data and ability to effectively query multiple tables of different grains with use of subqueries and window functions 
  • Experience with a BI tool like Tableau or Looker
  • Strong written and verbal communication 
  • Not afraid to operate in ambiguous environments and build up data framework from the ground up
  • Ability to dive deep into data and communicate insights to audiences of all backgrounds
  • A curious, entrepreneurial leader with plenty of grit, analytical prowess, creative thinking, and initiative
  • Ability and interest in thinking beyond the revenue organization, considering the challenges of other teams, and prioritizing what is best for the business holistically
  • Empathy and humility

Nice to Haves

  • Experience in the retail or fintech landscape
  • Knowledge of data visualization best practices 
  • Experience working with clickstream or user behavior data like Segment
