Responsibilities of this position

We are looking for a product marketer who can help to take us to the next level as we expand our product & our portfolio of services. In this new, high-visibility role, you will be a critical part of the team that is driving all aspects of the global product marketing efforts for ExpressVPN. This includes the development of product value propositions, optimizing our acquisition funnels, and the development of marketing programs to enhance user retention. 

The team is a critical part of the organization and collaborates closely with all areas of our business including Marketing, Design, Product, Engineering, and Sales.


About Product Marketing at ExpressVPN 

Our success is measured by:

  • Newly acquired revenue from web conversion funnels in all languages.
  • Conversion-rates from existing and newly created landing pages covering your user segment
  • Retention and long term value of users through targeted win-backs and trade-ups
  • Brand compliance and consistency.
  • The satisfaction of our internal customers in sales and paid marketing.

Your responsibilities:

  • Drive new user revenue by owning the conversion rate optimization for web conversion funnels by analyzing data and recommending new layouts or product messaging changes
  • Identify opportunities to maximize the long-term value of users and drive or help drive retention and win-back initiatives 
  • Own tailored messaging and positioning for your segment that enable us to maximize sales 
  • Partner closely with other stakeholders including Product, Engineering, Brand, Web, Design, and Sales to ensure flawless execution of our communications.
  • Understand user personas, their needs and pain points and use their insights to influence the product roadmap, marketing messaging, and design direction.


Desired Skills and experience

To do well in this position, you should:

  • Be an experienced product marketer. You’ll work closely with other functions like writing, data analytics, and UX.
  • Have strong expertise in analytics tools like Google Analytics and Tableau. 
  • Have a strong understanding of digital marketing. You have experience working closely with digital marketers or have previously worked in digital marketing yourself running rule-based and automated digital marketing campaigns
  • Have successfully created go-to-market strategies that resulted in the new acquisition and/or revenue streams.
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of user experience and behavior. You can use both data as well as intuition to make effective decisions. 
  • Have a good knowledge of A/B testing and in-depth funnel optimization.
  • Have strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.



To make your onboarding faster, it would be nice if you also have experience in:

  • Running rule-based and automated one-to-many digital marketing campaigns
  • New Product Development & User Research
  • Agile project management
  • User-experience copywriting
