Job Function:

We are seeking an experienced Account Director for our Digital/Social work streams to enrich our team in New York. This role demands a marketing expert with 7-10 years of experience in social media account management, equipped with a strategic mindset and a dedication to excellence in client service. You will be entrusted with cultivating enduring client relationships and leading a talented internal team to surpass our digital ambitions. Your strategic leadership will be instrumental in advancing our agency's portfolio and sustaining our commitment to delivering superior digital solutions. You will also assist in the creation, development, refinement and maintenance of departmental and and cross-functional operations, process and efficiencies, adhering to the following expectations.

The Account Director, Digital/Social, will be expected to oversee a multitude of tasks; including, but not limited to:

  • Foster and grow client relationships, emphasizing long-term partnerships.
  • Lead an account management team, ensuring the delivery of creative, timely, and strategic solutions.
  • Drive business growth by identifying client needs and cultivating opportunities for expansion.
  • Encourage innovative creative development and ensure quality deliverables.
  • Support internal team development and utilize each member's strengths for business understanding.
  • Collaborate with various departments to foster a positive work culture and deliver premium work.
  • Develop strong working rapport with clients, exceeding their needs and expectations.
  • Build knowledge of clients’ business models and competitive landscapes.
  • Create creative solutions to challenges while keeping client goals at the forefront.
  • Serve on the Senior Management team, contributing to the agency's strategic goals.
  • Build and maintain an effective account management team aligned with the agency's client portfolio.
  • Identify and onboard new talent as needed, with a commitment to fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Provide leadership and support to the digital account team, promoting efficient and effective service delivery.
  • Implement and uphold agency processes and standards, ensuring consistency across all client projects.
  • Ensure projects are on-time, on-budget, and meet key agency and client
  • Track agency hours and advance conversations both internally and with clients to ensure alignment with projected and actualized hours
  • Ensure Leadership is informed on overall health and tracking of projects, clients relationships, and agency workstreams.
  • Display effective problem-solving skills and develop options for workload management and project support.
  • Manage multiple tasks and priorities with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Utilize agency resources efficiently, ensuring projects meet content, time, and budget requirements.
  • Assist in the development of departmental and agency processes.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in digital account management, preferably within an agency environment.
  • A solid track record of developing and nurturing long-term client relationships.
  • Strong understanding of the social and influencer landscape, including emerging trends, platforms, and best practices.
  • Experience managing direct reports with a demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • A strategic thinker with the capacity to translate complex digital concepts into actionable plans.
  • Extensive experience managing client budgets and developing staffing plans.
  • Experience in developing comprehensive digital strategies that have resulted in measurable success.
  • Experience working with and managing account and project specific resources within creative, strategy, and production teams.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Creative problem-solver and highly confident self-motivator who can manage multiple tasks and projects at any given time; proactive and willing to initiate action.
  • Outstanding relationship skills and a team-oriented, collaborative approach to work.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, detail-driven environment, across multiple projects with tight deadlines.
  • Highly competent in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, Slack, Box, Asana, and other project management platforms.
  • A selfless team player who looks out for the well-being of others.
  • A leader who is invested in the growth and development of their team and direct reports.
  • Passion and love for sports, entertainment, music, culture, and lifestyle.
  • Ability to travel 20-30%

The pay range for this position is $150,000 - $165,000 per year. This position is also eligible for benefits and discretionary bonus.

Ultimately, the salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, business sector, and geographic location, among other criteria.
