We are seeking a skilled Middle Database Developer with experience in Oracle and Postgres database environments. As a middle Database Developer, you will be responsible for supporting and enhancing our database systems, ensuring their optimal performance, reliability, and security. You will work closely with our development and operations teams to design, develop, implement, and maintain database solutions that meet the needs of our organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in database development, with a focus on Oracle and Postgres databases
  • Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL programming languages
  • Competency in database design, normalization, and optimization
  • Knowledge of data migration, data integration, and ETL processes
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain database schemas, tables, views, stored procedures, and functions in both Postgres environments
  • Optimize database performance through query tuning, index optimization, and other performance-tuning techniques
  • Design and implement data migration, data integration, and ETL processes between different schemas in the database
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner, including database connectivity, performance issues, and data integrity problems
  • Collaborate with software developers to integrate database functionality into applications and ensure proper data access and manipulation
  • Document database designs, configurations, and procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing and support future development efforts
  • Participate in migration activities from Oracle to Postgres databases
