With over 900 employees and growing quickly, we’re transitioning into a large enterprise. We’ve completed several Big-4 audits and are elevating our capabilities to support a multi-billion dollar company.

What you’ll do

  • Plan, direct and coordinate all Accounting operational functions, including general accounting, revenue accounting, accounts payable, financial systems, risk, et al.
  • Manage the accumulation and preparation of financial data necessary for an accurate consolidation of business results
  • Oversee the development of financial accounting systems required to maintain reporting requirements
  • Provide comprehensive financial updates to senior management
  • Preparation of GAAP financial statements
  • Research technical accounting issues and implement solutions
  • Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function
  • Coordinate and prepare internal and external financial statements
  • Coordinate with external auditors
  • Coordinate with external income tax firm
  • Evaluate and implement consistent accounting policies, practices and procedures 
  • Evaluate, implement and maintain a good  internal control structure
  • Help develop and support short and long-term operational strategies
  • Develop and monitor business performance metrics

What makes you a great fit 

  • 10+ year of proven accounting experience with progressive growth 
  • 5+ years of experiences as a people manager with team building and team management experience
  • CPA certification
  • Knowledge of all aspects of generally accepted accounting principles
  • Knowledge of internal controls and the provisions of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of State and Federal income taxes and the associated GAAP accounting
  • Knowledge of Sage Intacct accounting software and Salesforce a plus
  • Previous experience in public accounting preferred 
  • Strong decision making and communication skills
  • Analytical and strategic thinking mindset
  • Organized and detail oriented 

Location 

Evolve has a flexible working environment so teammates can work remotely anywhere in the state of Colorado, in our beautiful downtown Denver office, remotely or a hybrid of both! As we grow, we are working towards opening remote opportunities across the entire U.S. We currently are able to hire across the U.S except in the following locations: California, District of Columbia, Hawaii, New Jersey, New Mexico, Ohio and Pennsylvania. 

Compensation

For this role our salary range is $154,000 to $177,000, depending on relevant experience.  This role will also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on both company and individual performance.
