The Site Merchandising team shapes the customer shopping experience on Everlane.com. The team analyzes what our customers want to see and then partners with many teams, such as Engineering, Data, Creative, Marketing, Merchandising and Product to create a site that allows customers to shop with confidence and ease.

Consisting of Site Merchandisers and Content Coordinators, the team continuously partners with each other and with cross-functional teams to bring Everlane’s brand to life digitally. Each individual on this team offers their own unique perspective and depth of expertise, resulting in a collaborative and results-driven work environment. 

As Director of Site Merchandising, you will lead the strategy and operations of Everlane’s core digital experience. You will build online merchandising strategies to bring our product stories to life. You will leverage both data and the “art” of merchandising  to improve the overall customer experience on Everlane.com. Your role is highly collaborative. You will work with Creative, Marketing, and Product Merchandising teams to build content and product strategies to grow our online business. Your primary responsibilities include planning seasonal shops based on assortment, updating the site to support both product and brand stories, and working with channel leads to elevate these stories and shops in user journeys. You will also work closely with the Product Management and Engineering teams in the ideation, testing and optimization of critical site features, as well as tools to better manage the site experience.  

The right candidate is a self-starter, has a proven track record in improving customer conversion and storytelling in e-commerce and is a natural team builder and collaborator.  This role combines big picture thinking and day-to-tactics. You love solving problems and quick wins, but also have the vision to build our future online presence. You love products and merchandising to show customers how and why to buy multiple things from Everlane.

 

Your day-to-day:

  • Build and execute a site plan that includes product launches, marketing campaigns, seasonal & promotional events, and regular content updates
  • Collaborate with Merchandising team to develop a digital merchandising strategy to deliver on a commercial plan and product strategy by driving measurable improvements to category traffic, conversion rate and UPT.
  • Balance the art of storytelling with the science of behavioral analytics to drive visitor engagement and conversion across all platforms
  • Meaningfully contribute to team output by merchandising highly-visible collection and product listing pages across New Arrivals, Best Sellers, and Brand moments.
  • Drive measurable improvements to site navigation, onsite search, SEO, product curation, on-site customer segmentation & personalization
  • Lead a team tasked with all onsite product creation, working closely with the ecommerce production team in our LA creative studio
  • Partner with Product Management to conceptualize and test new site features that improve the site experience and performance
  • Partner with Creative, Brand Marketing and Merchandising teams to ensure the site communicates key messages, aligns with campaign creative, and highlights relevant merchandise
  • Establish measurable Key Performance Indicators and actionable daily, weekly and monthly reporting
  • Manage, mentor and develop a high-performance team

 

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

  • 10+ years of experience in e-commerce and site merchandising, preferably in fashion or beauty
  • Analytical prowess, comfort with excel required (pivot tables, vlookup), Looker preferred
  • An entrepreneurial & resourceful approach with creative problem solving skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment and are comfortable with change
  • Organizational skills, are timely and hold yourself to a high level of accuracy
  • Managed and coached direct reports

 

Fine Print:

California resident:  At Everlane, we carefully consider a wide range of compensation factors, including your background and experience. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary. The compensation range for this role is $142,000-$180,000. This range is based on the San Francisco geographic area and the actual pay may vary depending on your skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location.
