Founded in 2015, Even Financial, a NYC based FinTech company, is the leading search, comparison and recommendation engine for financial services. Even provides essential infrastructure for financial institutions and channel partners (e.g. TransUnion, Credit.com, The Penny Hoarder, MoneyUnder30, Empower, Tally) to connect consumers with personalized products (including loans, deposits and more), utilizing its robust yet simple API. Even is proven to lower the cost of acquisition, improve monetization, monitor compliance and deliver transparency at scale. The Even platform serves as a trusted intermediary for financial institutions – including Prosper, Sofi, Lending Club, and Marcus by Goldman Sachs – that finds consumers through its vast network of channel partners and distributes their products digitally.

We are seeking a proven, entrepreneurial and highly motivated Business Development professional with demonstrated success cultivating and closing deals to drive new online partnerships. In this role, you will leverage your connections with performance marketers, affiliate marketers, publishers, personal finance apps and other media companies to help scale Even’s Platform.  

Responsibilities:

  • Identifying, negotiating, and closing new business opportunities with high-value and targeted prospects to extend the Even Platform reach
  • Proactively ideate and present big ideas to unlock potential new partnerships and incremental revenue opportunities
  • Achieving assigned revenue goals on a quarterly and annual basis
  • Effectively evaluate new business opportunities, deal sizing, analyze competitors, recommend strategies, and lead proposal/face-to-face negotiations to win new business
  • Utilize Salesforce to maintain a high-value account pipeline status and create weekly performance and opportunity reporting to SVP Business Development
  • Provide consultative solutions in which creativity and flexibility are required to find optimal solutions
  • Work with cross functional teams including Product, Compliance, Engineering, Analytics, and Partner Solutions to identify and engage partners to grow both distribution, revenue, and product capabilities

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of online business development and affiliate marketing experience, preferably related to financial services
  • Proven track record of closing high value partnerships and exceeding revenue targets
  • Strong understanding of ad technology, performance marketing, and digital publishing business models
  • Proven track record of substantive deal negotiations and various deal structures including, CPM, CPA, RevShr, CPC and CPL models, with ability to lead complex negotiations
  • Deep verifiable network of existing decision maker and executive level relationships at key prospect companies
  • Repeated demonstration meeting and exceeding new business revenue targets
  • Data-driven mindset and prior experience regularly analyzing partner ROI and performance
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Highly motivated, driven, and passionate about partner relationships
  • Availability to travel as needed
