About the role:
Ethos is seeking a highly enthusiastic Technical Writer to join our Technology team. This role requires an individual who thrives in a fast-paced start-up environment, enjoys making a significant impact, and can work collaboratively across various disciplines to achieve objectives.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Work with both technical and non-technical teams to address the documentation needs of our users
- Improve and create comprehensive documentation for Ethos’s internal tools and systems
- Operate independently in a dynamic work environment, tackling ambiguous problems effectively
- Research, outline, write, and edit content, collaborating closely with various departments to understand project requirements
- Collect information from subject-matter experts to develop, organize, and write procedure manuals, technical specifications, and process documentation
- Work with development and support leads to identify documentation repositories, revise and edit content, and determine the best solutions for data compilation and centralized storage
Skills & Qualifications
- 3+ years as a technical writer, developer advocate, software engineer, or in product management
- Highly motivated, self-directed team player with a strong agility mindset
- Proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex subject matter
- Experience in writing documentation and procedure manuals for various audiences
- High standards of accuracy and strong attention to detail with a drive to get things right
