Physical Design Leader/Manager/Director (title dependent on experience)
Job Description:
- As the company’s Physical Design leader, you will be responsible for leading all aspects of digital SoC implementation, from floorplanning through to signoff.
- You will be required to develop world class physical design methodologies and flow automation, for chip floorplan, power/clock distribution, chip assembly, P&R and timing closure.
- You will lead, scale, and develop an international physical design team.
- You will work with integration, mixed signal and digital design engineers to understand all target requirements required to complete the physical implementation.
- You will contribute to a positive, trusting, and cohesive working environment based on integrity and strong work ethics.
Key Qualifications
- BS and/or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- Minimum 15+ years in physical design, timing closure, and physical verification signoff experience
- Proven technical and people leadership track record in successfully leading/managing complex FinFet SoCs to tapeout
- Demonstrated experience of building, growing, and retaining successful local and international teams
- Hands-on hierarchical physical design experience at block and full chip levels
- Power user in physical design, STA, and physical verification industry-standard EDA tools
- Strong analytical and debugging skills
- Experience defining deliveries and specifying delivery from other teams
- Proficiency using Tcl, and Make scripting
- Self-motivated and able to lead and drive team and project
- Startup attitude and expected compensation required
Additional Success Factors
Experience in any of the following areas:
- 7nm/5nm/3nm technologies
- Experience in Power, Performance and Area improvement.
- Physical design of mixed signal interfaces.
- Experience integrating IP such as Serdes from major IP vendors
- Perl or Python scripting
