Ergeon is founded by CS Ph.D. serial entrepreneurs Jiayue (Jenny) He and Odysseas Tstatalos. They picked this name to symbolize their joint passion for using tech to revolutionize work. 


Overview of the Role

As the Project Manager Associate Team Lead, you'll lead a dynamic team of Project Managers in optimizing operational efficiency, fostering a positive team culture, and driving customer satisfaction within our sub-region. Reporting to the Project Manager Team Lead, you'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams such as Sales, Supply Ops, AR, and Marketing to achieve shared goals and objectives. Leveraging cutting-edge technologies and tools, you'll oversee the onboarding of new installers, manage project escalations, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Interacting with both customers and vendors, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless project delivery and maximizing installer capacity utilization. This role is exciting because it offers the opportunity to lead a high-performing team, drive strategic initiatives, and make a tangible impact on our organization's success.


Responsibilities

  • Owns a sub-region / leads a team of 5+ Project Managers.
  • Leads their respective team (organization, TATs, efficiency, culture, unity).
  • Monitors the overall health of the region's markets.
  • Is the link for cross-functional collaboration with other teams within the organization such as Sales, Supply Ops, AR, and Marketing, to achieve shared goals and objectives.

Field support

  • Collaborates with the Field Account Management team (FAM) to onboard new installers until stable (trials & adjustment phases).
  • Ensure project size and pay match the new installer’s profile by higher level project choosing for trials. 
  • Support PMs <> Installers smooth transitions
  • Ensure maximum installer capacity usage
  • Handle and follow up on installer escalations resolution
  • Provides insights to Category Team and shares field insights
  • Support Supply Ops processes (promoting Ergeon materials adoption, monitoring materials balance, and ensuring payment/deductions)

OKR support

  • Owns the subregion metrics related to customer happiness, installer happiness, profitability, and PM efficiency
  • Monitors tools and processes adoption at the regional level.
  • Helps pilot select initiatives that improve team efficiency or effectiveness

Org support

  • Train and develop team members, including ongoing skill-building opportunities. 
  • Tracks house performance management.
  • Coach team members, answer questions from junior team members (tools, process, challenging situations).
  • Review the work of Project Managers in their region by having 1-on-1s with them and providing support/feedback.
  • Performs quarterly reviews.
  • Provides support for escalations and scheduling audits (including leading the weekly House meetings).

Desired Skills and Experience

Must have

  • Fluency in both English and Spanish is required.
  • Leadership Experience: Demonstrated leadership experience, including team management, mentorship, and performance management.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to achieve shared goals and objectives.
  • Customer-Facing Experience: Previous experience in a customer-facing role focused on driving customer satisfaction and maintaining positive relationships.
  • Industry Experience: Familiarity with the construction or related industry, including knowledge of relevant processes and best practices.
  • Self-Motivation and Discipline: The ability to stay motivated and disciplined while working independently and managing tasks remotely is essential.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: The capacity to troubleshoot and resolve issues independently while working remotely, without immediate access to on-site resources or support.
  • Adaptability: Adaptability to different working styles, time zones, and communication preferences of team members in a remote setting.
  • Empathy and Emotional Intelligence: Empathy and emotional intelligence are vital for understanding and supporting team members' needs, especially in a remote work context where face-to-face interactions may be limited.
  • Remote Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

  • Project Management Experience: Proven experience in project management, preferably in a leadership role, with a track record of successfully managing teams and delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Collaboration Tools Proficiency: Proficiency in using remote collaboration tools such as video conferencing, project management software, and communication platforms to facilitate remote teamwork.

Compensation

Hourly rate USD 12.50

  • You'll be paid weekly through Upwork (www.upwork.com), the platform we choose to hire and pay our Ergeoneers all over the world.

Additional important information

Location

  • This is a 100% remote position, for people located in Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, and Venezuela.

Availability

  • This position is full-time with expectations of at least 45 hours per week.
  • Availability Monday through Saturday between 8:00am - 6:00pm of the region assigned (it could be in PST, CT, or ET time zone). 

Bootcamp

  • Training period of 4 weeks including 1-1 sessions, constant mentoring, teamwork, practical use and understanding of our technical tools, and live exercises to develop abilities.
  • You are going to be able to do a full immersion in the day-to-day job, enjoy our amazing company culture, make great friends, and learn a lot!
