We are on the lookout for a highly motivated Procurement Specialist who will be instrumental in acquiring server systems and their components, including processors, memory modules, network cards, GPU cards, and related networking equipment for our infrastructure.
This role is pivotal in securing not only significant discounts through direct manufacturer engagement, but also in ensuring high-quality and specification-compliant products. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with frequent business travel to attend industry events, meet with suppliers, and conduct on-site negotiations.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Sourcing server systems and a wide range of components such as CPUs, RAM, network interface cards, GPUs, and other networking hardware.
- Executing procurement strategies for each category of hardware, understanding the technical specifications required for our operations.
- Forging and maintaining strong connections with hardware manufacturers and distributors, conducting on-site visits and attending trade shows to negotiate procurement terms.
- Evaluating and forecasting the needs for server and network equipment to keep pace with technological advancements and company growth.
- Collaborate with the technical team to understand the compatibility and performance requirements of new equipment.
- Procuring cost-effective procurement while upholding high-quality standards, leveraging detailed knowledge of the tech market to forecast price trends and availability.
- Preparing and managing the procurement budget, making strategic decisions to optimize spending on hardware components.
