EquityZen is a financial technology company, backed by leading venture and private equity investors. We’re looking for a knowledgeable and hardworking Private Markets Associate who has a strong interest in the pre-IPO space and private markets. 

Since 2013, the EquityZen marketplace has made it easy to buy and sell shares in private companies. EquityZen brings together investors and shareholders, providing liquidity to early shareholders and private market access to accredited investors. With low investment minimums through our funds and with more than 35,000 private placements completed across 400+ companies, EquityZen leads the way in delivering “Private Markets for the Public”.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Work with Shareholders (employees, founders, ex-employees, early investors) in assisting them to liquidate their shares
  • Be a key EquityZen ambassador and first line of contact for fielding inbound inquiries from shareholders and ensuring all requests are processed in a timely manner
  • Drive company growth goals by effective sales outreach and shareholder relations through sourcing new acquisitions via multiple outbound channels
  • Build, maintain, and manage shareholder and issuer relations
  • Work with issuers directly to promote the benefits of employee liquidity programs
  • Work cross-functionally with our internal Demand, Legal, Marketing, and Marketplace teams to facilitate offerings 
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and work with our Engineering and Product teams to automate and optimize our platform and processes
  • Develop strong command of the pre-IPO Market

THE RIGHT STUFF

  • 3+ years of experience within finance, capital markets, private placements, or venture capital
  • Relevant sales experience, selling financial products
  • FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses required
  • Collaborative approach and team player mentality
  • Self-driven, motivated and invigorated by achieving ambitious goals
  • Process-oriented, data-driven and tech-forward

BONUS POINTS

  • Experience with the institutional investor channel
  • Comprehension of private valuation metrics
  • Experience with, or interest in Salesforce
  • Understanding of employee stock options plans

SALARY

  • $110,000 Base + Commissions + Equity

LOCATION

  • This role is based in our NYC office on a hybrid schedule of 3x a week (Tues/Wed/Thur)
