It is an exciting yet critical time at Equinox Media and we're looking for a Director of Systems, eCommerce and Logistics who will be responsible for building and leading the team in development, configuration, and optimization of all core systems end-to-end as well as core functions from Commerce to Member Experience. What the Work Looks Like 

  • Own technology for eCommerce, Logistics, and CRM (Member Data Integration and Member Experience) 
  • Build the long term roadmap for commerce and logistics systems in line with business priorities and objectives
  • Leadership and hands-on contribution in the selection, configuration, and integration of new and existing systems
  • Provide regular updates to stakeholders regarding the status of projects as well progress towards aligned upon OKRs
  • Build rapport, credibility and cohesion across all business, operational and technology teams
  • Maintain strong knowledge and understanding of business needs, evidenced by the ability to establish and maintain a high level of trust and confidence
  • Supervise system infrastructure to ensure functionality and efficiency
  • Manage a team of technical analysts and engineers, developing the ability to flex capacity with 3rd party partners

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent work experience
  • 10+ years working in software implementation or software engineering
  • 5+ years of experience building and supporting eCommerce and Logistic systems, Shopify & Netsuite preferred
  • 2+ years working with a CRM platform, Salesforce preferred
  • Strong skills in architecting enterprise level, scalable solutions
  • Work experience in building high-performance teams and scalable best engineering practices
  • A proven track record of practical problem solving and strong communication
  • A passion for growing teams, finding creative solutions, and building killer products
  • Experience with process management and process change implementation
  • Proven ability to architect and frame strategic roadmaps with contingencies and variables clearly articulated
  • Working knowledge of API integration (REST, GraphQL) and message-queue based communication
  • Working knowledge computer science concepts and a modern programming language, Python preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of SQL query language
  • Strong understanding of Cloud architecture and Devops concepts
  • Ability to develop and execute vision for technical direction
  • Ability to resolve conflict, and inspire and motivate team
  • Ability to effectively communicate across all levels and stakeholders
  • Ability to work with uncertainty and change of evolving business with enthusiasm
