PRODUCT MANAGEMENT

What We Do

Product Management partners with game development, publishing, marketing, and platform teams to provide a data and market-driven view of product strategy that aligns with business goals. As part of Epic’s Growth Team, we use our product expertise to identify and drive growth levers to grow our player base and business.

What You'll Do

As a Senior Product Manager on the Fortnite Item Shop, you will build and evolve the user-facing shop experience. This role will partner with peers across the entire growth product team. This role will be an integral member of the Fortnite ecosystem development team which builds products and features that make Item Shop not only a great experience for users but also the best-in-class in gaming.

In this role, you will

  • Define measurable feature and initiative goals as well as create detailed business and product requirements that are used to guide item shop design and technical specifications
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify inefficiencies in internal processes and build new tools that support development
  • Take accountability for the adoption and success of features and product, both internally and externally
  • Create experiments to test hypotheses with design and production in establishing true MVP while considering long-term scalability for future sequencing that has dependencies on multiple teams running at the same time
  • Maintain a live backlog, balancing the needs of internal and external stakeholders
  • Monitor overall economic health and the performance of the item shop to define best practices, identify new opportunities, and provide regular updates to the cross-functional team
  • Partner with Analytics, Player Insights, and other Product Managers to answer business and design questions through mock-ups, user reach, and iterative releases

What we're looking for

  • 6+ years of Product Management experience across live operations, virtual economy management, and feature/system design. UX design familiarity, Merchandising experience, Marketing experience are a plus
  • Have gone 0-1+ in launching and scaling consumer-facing products. Tooling, Front-End Optimization, Performance and Scale experience preferred
  • Experience with merchandising and user purchase behavior
  • Have strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to roll up your sleeves to get things done
  • Top-notch written and oral communication skills; including experience writing concept pitches and product requirement documents
  • Demonstrated leadership in collaborating and influencing stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Passionate about doing the right thing, not afraid to say NO, and know how to take calculated risks to create maximum impact

This role is open to multiple locations (including NYC, WA, and CA).

The expected annual base pay range(s) for this position are detailed below. Each base pay range is relevant only for individuals who are residents of or will be expected to work within the specified locale. Compensation varies based on a variety of factors, which include (but aren’t limited to) things such as skills and competencies, qualifications, knowledge, and experience. In addition to base pay, most employees are eligible to participate in Epic’s generous benefit plans and discretionary incentive programs (subject to the terms of those plans or programs).
