ENGINEERING - UNREAL ENGINE

What We Do

Unreal-powered projects have been on the bleeding edge of real-time entertainment for over 20 years. Our team of engineering experts are always innovating to improve the tools and technology that empower content developers worldwide.

What You'll Do

As an Unreal Cloud Services team member, you will build the ultimate suite of cloud-based, real-time collaborative content creation tools based on Unreal Engine. You set the agenda to empower content developers worldwide to accomplish their ideas in a seamless, cooperative, and distributed environment.

In this role, you will

  • Lead a geographically distributed team of 5+ engineers focused on cloud collaboration tools in Unreal Editor, UEFN, and related tools
  • Work closely with the Product team to help shape future cloud-first and multi-user workflows
  • Bridge the gap between traditional single-user local machine development and highly scalable distributed real-time cloud experiences
  • Cooperate tightly with our backend, infrastructure, and web frontend engineers to architect the best solutions
  • Propose/review architecture, systems, and technical approaches to ensure they satisfy surface-level and deeper, engineering-specific requirements
  • Write, review, and advocate for robust, maintainable code with extensibility in mind

What we're looking for

  • Previous experience and a strong desire to lead and grow a team of developers
  • Excellent native coding skills and programming principles knowledge (C++, Rust, C)
  • Experience in running workloads in the cloud and designing clients interacting with it (networking, protocols, AWS, docker, S3, databases, Kubernetes)
  • Knowledge in asset management for the game and movie industry, including revision control, cook pipelines, and digital asset management (Git, Perforce, DDC, Content Cooking)
  • Firm grasp of UI and tools development best practices
  • Experience with Unreal Engine 5 or other Game Engines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

This role is open to multiple locations in Europe.
