About the Role
The Global Human Resource Manager will be responsible for overseeing and fulfilling all aspects of the compensation programs, benefits plans for employees, reporting to Envoy’s VP of People, and working closely with the HR team. This includes developing compensation and benefits strategies that drive growth, attract/retain talent, optimize the workforce and drive productivity.
This is a hybrid position that requires at minimum 3 days a week (Tuesday - Thursday) in our San Francisco HQ
You will
- Partner to build and drive the strategic design and execution of the company’s global compensation, equity, and benefits programs in line with business objectives, financial goals, and cultural norms, assuring internal equity and external competitiveness.
- Develop and administer health and welfare benefits strategy and direct the design, implementation, communication, and cost control of health and welfare benefit programs.
- Have a strong HR generalist foundation; proven analytic and critical thinking abilities.
- Assists HR Business Partners and Management in understanding and implementing governing law and company policies related to compliance, performance, discipline, and related topics.
- Establish and measure key compensation and benefit program metrics. Regularly benchmark company programs and monitor external trends to proactively adjust company plans and programs to ensure market competitiveness.
- Support the processing, administration, and analysis of the bi-annual compensation review cycle, including preparation, review, and delivery of merit letters, validating salary increases, and reconciling incentive and merit files to be processed by Payroll.
- Maintain data integrity of compensation and benefits information in HRIS (Rippling) and other systems and databases.
- Administer leaves of absence and respond to unemployment claims.
- Ensure controls are in place and procedures are followed for periodic review of compliance with all applicable laws, manage compliance reporting (including SOC2).
- Partner with recruiting, managers and outside counsel to manage immigration matters.
You have
- Extensive knowledge of compensation, international markets, and best practices, with a minimum of 5-7 years of hands-on experience.
- Knowledge of legislation governing benefit plans (ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, PPACA).
- Financial ability to identify and implement cost-effective programs.
- Demonstrated strong leadership experience with involvement in execution as well as the development of strategic initiatives.
- Ability to effectively lead people and get results through others. In-depth knowledge and experience in effectively leading the wide spectrum of compensation and benefits programs and practices that support results-oriented business.
- International human resource experience (US, UK, Canada)
- Experience with Rippling, Fidelity, and Sequoia are a plus

Compensation description
Envoy's compensation package includes market competitive salary, equity for all full time roles, and great benefits. If you are located in San Francisco Bay Area, our expected cash compensation for this role is $165,000 - $189,000 (Annually). Final offers may vary within the range provided based on experience, expertise, and other factors.
