About the Role

We are looking for a Technical Program Manager for the Engineering, Product and Design (EPD) organization focused on large cross-functional programs that impact all of engineering at Envoy. This individual will partner closely with product management, engineering managers, directors, and stakeholders across multiple organizations to execute on programs. As a senior Technical Program Manager, you’d be defining and driving the planning processes of the entire organization and improving efficiency by providing clear operational metrics to leadership. You’d be working closely with the CTO and CPO to identify key OKRs and projects for each quarter and partner with engineering teams for effective execution and timely delivery.

In the past, TPMs in role defined Envoy’s incident management process with stakeholders from the Customer Support team, EPD’s release management process and an engineering onboarding program with a course curriculum. They also led the migration of our cloud infrastructure for 100+ services which spanned 10+ engineering teams.

This is a hybrid position that requires 3 days a week (Tuesday - Thursday) in our San Francisco HQ.

You Will  

  • Establish, implement, and optimize processes to ensure successful execution of various Product Development initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Lead cross-functional programs and define scope, key milestones, schedule and resource plans. Develop communication strategies for your programs and clearly communicate goals and progress to stakeholders and executives.
  • Anticipate problems and build risk mitigation plans accordingly.
  • Develop strong partnerships with business, product, design and engineering leaders to enable delivery of the highest impact work.
  • Provide in-depth analysis and evaluation of problems and dependencies when working with engineering teams.

You Have  

  • 4+ years experience in a technology career with at least 2-3 years in a program management role working on organization-wide projects.
  • A strong track record of working with Engineers to solve complex cross-team problems.
  • Proven track record of managing complex cross-functional technical initiatives.
  • Experience communicating effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • You are an adaptive problem solver with a demonstrated ability to work through ambiguity.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Experience customizing and administering issues with JIRA.
  • Experience with agile methodologies.
  • Proven track record of shipping on schedule.

Compensation description 

Envoy's compensation package includes market competitive salary, equity for all full-time roles, and great benefits. If you are located in the San Francisco Bay Area, our expected cash compensation for this role is $140K- $180K (Annually). We are open to various levels for this position, so final offers may vary within the range provided based on experience, expertise, and other factors.
