Enviva’s mission is to become the preferred partner and supplier of wood pellets and other processed woody biomass fuels to serve global power generation and other customers seeking to decrease their dependence on fossil fuels and reduce their carbon footprint. Enviva has been supplying wood chips and wood pellets to customers in the U.S., Europe and Asia, safely, stably, and reliably since 2007. The company owns and operates seven wood pellet manufacturing facilities throughout the Southeast in Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida and Mississippi and owns or contracts port facilities in Chesapeake, Virginia, Panama City, Florida, Wilmington, North Carolina, and Mobile, Alabama.
The Company is seeking a Project Manager to assist the Director of Strategy with developing and executing cross-functional projects according to the company’s aggressive growth targets.
Support the Director of Strategy in long term planning and leadership engagement
Structure and prioritize complex problems/opportunities through financial analysis including NPV, IRR, and sensitivities
Use best practice project management tools to manage the execution of strategic initiatives, including:
Net Zero and carbon reduction opportunities
Innovation and partnership opportunities
Identify/develop/negotiate partnership opportunities via networking and industry research
Establish KPIs, baselines, and targets for project execution
Support greenfield project development activities and transaction due diligence as needed
Travel to support projects (10 – 20%)
BS/BA in Economics/Finance, Engineering, Science, or other relevant discipline
MBA Strongly Preferred
5+ years of professional experience, preferably in tier 1 management consulting
Demonstrated problem solving skills, including framing, data analysis, and presentation skills
Ability to work with all levels of the organization (from CEO to frontline)
Strong and structured written (including PowerPoint) and verbal communication
Intermediate level in MS Excel, including pivot tables, formulas, conditional formatting
