As an instrumental member of the Portfolio Management team, the Manager of Commercial Analytics will support the Portfolio Management team with contract execution, shipment scheduling, price forecasting, and revenue and cost optimization responsibilities.
Partner with the Sales and Marketing team to conduct financial, cost/benefit, and scenario analysis to find optimal solutions to logistical and operational challenges
Conduct regular analysis of pricing, using historical supply and demand dynamics.
Evaluate Enviva’s S&D model and short-term events
Prepare PowerPoint presentations for senior management and Board of Directors with meaningful takeaways
Assist global Sales and Marketing team in making strategic decisions related to pricing, market targets, new business opportunities, and trading strategies
Assist with planning of shipments into Enviva ports, scheduling of shipments with customers and shipowners, and overall management of customer and shipping portfolio
Conduct financial, cost/benefit, and scenario analysis to find optimal solutions to logistical and operational challenges
Assist the Director of Portfolio Management to meet and exceed the company’s sales and shipping budget and to accurately forecast financial performance
Support the Director of Maritime Operations in forecasting, budgeting, tracking and optimization of all shipping related costs and revenues
Review and ensure all customer and shipping invoices are correct and accurately reflected in financials and forecast
Develop and track KPIs that track performance and help identify areas of improvement
Lead monthly meeting with accounting team to confirm shipment revenues and costs, and reconcile actual performance with prior forecasts
4-7 years of relevant experience; investment banking, financial planning & analysis, accounting/audit, complex sales or trading (FX, fixed income, etc.) or other contract-oriented experience is highly preferred.
Strong operational or financial modeling skills and highly proficient PowerPoint – professional presentation experience.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
High level of comfort utilizing complex excel models is crucial.
