Reporting to Vice President FP&A and working closely with the Corporate Development Team, the Business Development Manager will be responsible for the financial integrity and timeliness of the M&A, capital structure and equity returns analysis. This position will have continual exposure to Enviva’s executive team contributing to investment and acquisition analysis and presentations.
Provide critical review of financial assumptions, integrity of model application and results of assessments performed by the Business Development Analysts ensuring the quality and accuracy of all analysis.
Manage Enviva’s corporate model, aligning outputs with known and anticipated growth, providing quarterly valuation updates to internal and external stakeholders.
Develop complex financial models and valuations and perform strategic and quantitative analysis.
Manage analysis for private equity partners.
Guide work performed by team to align with priorities, timelines and Enviva’s strategic goals.
Prepare and present consistent and concise presentations for executive and business leadership teams and other stakeholders; provide analysis and recommendations to assist with strategic decision making.
Minimum five year’s experience in investment banking, corporate development or similar transactional work
BA/BS required, preferably in Business or Economics; MBA preferred.
Demonstrated success supporting all aspects of the M&A process to include strategic analysis and complex modeling and valuation.
Strategic and analytical thinker with superior problem solving and decision-making skills.
Ability to contribute ideals to address business issues.
Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with all levels of staff.
Excellent spreadsheet, communication and presentation skills.
Ability to adapt to fast-paced, high-intensity work environment.

Experience in/with a Master Limited Partnership preferred.
Documented Training the Street or Wall Street Prep completion.
Strong interpersonal skills, including the written and oral communication skills necessary to build relationships and positively influence decision making.
Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple complex projects.
Relevant experience in energy, wood products, oil & gas, or other heavy industries.
