Reporting to: Senior Compliance Associate

What You’ll Do Here: 

  • Review and respond to escalated customer complaints (escalated by Customer Service Representatives)
  • Respond to routine compliance-related questions; escalate any complex or high risk matters to the Compliance Manager)
  • Provide complaint reporting and prepare recommendation regarding training needs based on complaint analysis
  • Handle escalated customer complaints via telephone, email or written correspondence
  • Respond to written customer correspondence
  • Handle incoming/outgoing mail correspondence
  • Assist with preparation for regulatory examinations and internal audits
  • Perform other functions as assigned by management

What We Need From You:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Moderate Excel and Word proficiency
  • Ability to run SQL queries
  • Proven computer skills required (word processing, data entry, internet, spreadsheets)
  • Experience using a CRM tool
  • Experience dealing with customer complaints
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional demeanor via telephone
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Strong multi-tasking abilities
  • Project Management and ability to work independently
  • Flexibility and ability to quickly adapt to change
  • Strong ability and desire to work in a collaborative team environment
  • Knowledge retention – ability to quickly grasp and retain information needed to perform the role 

Differentiating Factors:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 1-2 years’ experience in a leadership position
  • Handling official correspondence, including responding to regulator complaints/inquiries
  • Experience with credit reporting or credit reporting disputes
