Job Purpose/Mission 

The incumbent is responsible and accountable for the establishment and design of integrated Human Resources Information systems (HRIS) and tools as well as the business case and centralisation of common HR services to form a part of a wider Shared Services function for creating operational efficiencies. They will be responsible for the implementation of AI (Artificial Intelligence) and RPA (Robotic Process Automisation) to generating of data and analytics insights for strategic HR and people related decisions. The incumbent will also be responsible for the analysis of HR performance, identification of root causes and optimisation of service levels. This role will interact with HR CoE’s and HR Country Leads as well as Group IT departments regarding HR Technology and Data. The incumbent will ensure efficient and effective service delivery according to agreed upon Service Level Agreements.  Identification of HR systems that are fit for purpose and the alignment of these with our policies and processes and structure through thorough RACI processes. 


  • Develop strategies and guardrails regarding the HRIS CoE for implementation by the HR Country Leads. 
  • Define the shared services framework. 
  • Evaluate and review current governance and compliance models. 
  • Define the service strategy and governance models. 
  • Design and develop HR reporting standards, framework and tools to meet business need. 
  • Conduct research to identify leading practice HR reporting frameworks. 
  • Responsible for the design and development of HR reporting framework and data metrics 
  • Present the framework to relevant stakeholders to obtain the required approvals. 
  • Communicate the design to HR Country Leads and HR CoE’s for implementation 
  • Responsible for the shared services team performance and quality of deliverables. 
  • Provide instruction and guidance to the shared services team around tasks to be executed. 
  • Ensure the shared services activities are executed timeously. 
  • Identify processes that can be optimised across countries through research and consultation with the Line Managers and the CoE’s 
  • Develop optimisation initiatives to maximise process outcomes at EEA.  
  • Analyse reporting for continuous improvement. 
  • Ensure the operations are consistently conducted in a way that all compliance measures are met and stand up to internal and external reviews and audits. 
  • Identify and evaluate risks and implement measures to control these risks. 
  • Manage and oversee the services provided for HR requests in accordance to established SLAs 
  • Define the HR metrics in consultation with the HR CoE’s and HR Country Leads. 
  • Analyse HR metrics and generate data insights. 
  • Provide feedback on analysis to the Head of People and Culture and develop metrics action plan for continuous improvement. 
  • Develop and implement a strategic roadmap for new developments and function enhancements to HR tools and systems. 
  • Actively support the management and maintenance of employee records and information management by collaborating with Organisational Effectiveness COE 
  • Create an employee data warehouse and central repository for HR policies and processes and ensure relevant stakeholders have the correct access to policies.  
  • Manage the functionalities that an HR Solution supports, eg. recruitment, personnel administration, payroll, time and attendance, payroll, learning and skills development functionalities as part of HRIS.  
  • Provide employee self-service support and manage escalations

Knowledge and Experience: 

  • Relevant HR Systems knowledge (SAP/Sage or similar) 
  • Knowledge of service management practices
