Job Purpose/Mission

We are looking for a qualified Senior Mobile developer to join our Engineering team. You will be working with our engineers to develop and maintain high quality mobile applications. 

Responsibilities

  • Produce fully functional mobile applications  
  • Research and suggest new mobile products, applications and protocols 
  • Stay up-to-date with new technology trends 
  • Write unit tests to identify malfunctions 
  • Gather specific requirements and suggest solutions 

Knowledge and skills 

Experience: 

  • Knowledge of concurrency design patterns (e.g. coroutines) 
  • Experience in building flexible and reusable UI components 
  • Display of intellectual curiosity, user-centric thinking and aim for innovation  
  • Ability to anticipate problems and performance bottlenecks, and address them in a positive manner 
  • Demonstrated ability to architect or refactor portions of the codebase without supervision and inspire optimal use of technology 
  • Ability to translating stakeholders' desires into implementable action points 
  • Proactive communication and active listening skills 

Qualifications: 

  • 5+ years of Android experience 
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology or a related field 

Language(s): 

  • English 

Technology: 

  • Experience with client/server architectures using HTTP, REST and JSON 
  • Excellent programming skills in Kotlin  
  • Extensive knowledge of Android APIs (e.g. Jetpack, AndroidX) and the Android ecosystem 
  • Effectively navigation skills through different programming patterns (e.g. OOP, FP) 
  • Knowledge of concurrency design patterns (e.g. coroutines) 
  • Experience with Android persistence libraries for robust database access (e.g. Room, Realm) 
  • Confidence in building Android layouts and UI components
