Job Purpose/Mission 

Reporting to the ENGIE Energy Access (EEA) HRBP – Europe, US and China; the Human Resources Officer (HRO)- Europe is responsible for the HR administrative functions for the global team members based in Europe. The HRO supports the implementation of HR initiatives and provides day to day HR support to the global team in Europe.  


Human Resources Administration: 

  • Support monthly payroll preparation by providing and checking data.  
  • Maintain digital and physical personnel files and HR system (Personio). 
  • Provide HR administration support to all global team members in Europe – contracting, correspondence, HR general queries, managing absence,  certificates, amendments, reference letters, documentation, etc 
  • Support employee relations matters ensuring compliance with all local labor laws.  
  • Support talent management processes. 
  • Support implementation of leadership development programs. 
  • Prepare HR reports on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis as my be required – HR operating budget, turnover, SEAT files, PMD metrics, etc. 

Performance Management and HR Compliance: 

  • Ensure effective and efficient performance management and Individual Development plans. 
  • Provide support in the review, analysis & submission of annual end of year appraisal statistics. 
  • Update policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines; communicating and enforcing organization values. 

Knowledge and skills 

  • 2 – 3 years of direct experience with HR administration in Germany or France 
  • Position requires cross-cultural experience, understanding and sensitivity. 


  • Bachelor's Degree or HND in any related course 


  • English required 
  • German required 
  • French is a plus
