About the Role
As a Speech-Language Pathologist at CPTE, you will determine the appropriate care and treatment for speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in a senior population. You will maximize the quality of life by helping to restore or maintain speech and language function. You will create and implement unique treatment plans for the patient’s current level of functioning as well as potential improvement, while demonstrating superior clinical judgment.

Your Typical Day
-
Provide direct patient care, evaluate functional needs and outcomes, and consult with other specialists. Review patients’ functional needs and adjust care plans to ensure optimal outcomes.

Design and implement plans of care for patients based on a thorough assessment of potential development; Plans will include but are not limited to manual therapy, aquatic therapy, neuromuscular training, modalities and functional rehabilitation.

Create fitness and wellness-oriented programs tailored to patients’ specific needs; Promote patient’s healthy lifestyle by improving strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.

Communicate effectively with other professionals and support staff to achieve positive patient outcomes·

Document patient care services via EMR

Adhere to company policies and procedures, objectives, quality improvement program, safety, environmental, and infection control standards as required.

Enhance professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, in-service meetings, and workshops.

Provide direction and leadership to staff as required and act as a resource to promote physical therapy in the community
About You

Graduate of an accredited Speech-Language Pathologist program

Active or pending state license to practice Speech-Language Pathology

Experience or interest in a geriatric setting

Passion for delivering quality, evidence-based patient care

Superior customer service and interpersonal communication skills

Ability to manage and interact positively with a diverse patient population of all ages
