EnerNOC has an immediate need for a Utility Operations Associate whose primary responsibility is to work with Utility Partners to order meter upgrades, and energy data, to support EnerNOC’s software and services. 

Key Responsibilities:

Provide exceptional service to our utility partners, commercial clients, and internal customers:

  • Work with utility contacts by email and phone to order meter upgrades and energy data
  • Work with internal stakeholders to prioritize and complete utility orders
  • Communicate timelines and statuses for open orders to internal stakeholders (aka “customers”)
  • Work with commercial customers as needed to collect billing information and forms as needed to fulfill orders
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and utility contacts
  • Execute all work in accordance with our service level agreements
  • Work closely with the team members and managers to help prioritize and deliver continuous process improvements

Required Qualifications:

  • Excellent customer service skills, including responsiveness in follow-up to communications with internal and external stakeholders
  • Great attention to detail and ability to follow through on assigned tasks
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage high-throughput transactional activity calmly and effectively
  • Ability to meet time-sensitive deadlines and work in a fast paced environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

Desired Qualifications:

  • 1-5 years of experience in customer service or working with utilities
  • BA/BS degree
  • Experience driving process improvement and developing performances metrics
  • Knowledge of statistics, programming, or other analytical discipline
  • Interest in the energy space and working with utilities
  • Self-starter with ability to identify important tasks and develop processes for completion
