EnerNOC, an Enel Group company, the global leader in energy flexibility and advisory solutions is looking for a Strategic Procurement Specialist. This is a Boston based role and is an exciting opportunity for a candidate that enjoys working with global teams and consistently provides a high level of internal customer service.  Reporting to the Head of Procurement - North America, you should be passionate about participating in initiatives that will have significant and lasting impact on our global organization.  You should have superior critical thinking and analytical skills, be action oriented, and have the ability to participate in strategic projects while maintaining day-to-day tactical responsibilities.


Key Responsibilities:

• Create detailed total cost of ownership (TCO) models
• Manage vendor relationships across diverse commodity areas including, but not limited to: internal use software, batteries for large-scale energy storage solutions, IT hardware
• Assist in the development of process documentation, policies, procedures and templates

• Synthesize disparate data sets of information into actionable plans

• Assist internal customers with RFI, RFP, RFQ development, distribution, evaluation

• Interface with internal subject matter experts (SME’s) from Accounting to Operations to collaborate on solutions to business challenges

• Assist with the negotiation of contract terms and conditions between internal customers, our legal department, and suppliers

• Assist with the creation, testing, deployment and operation of a contract management database with our legal department team members

• Drive cost reduction/value creation opportunities across the organization

• Provide general tactical support for the Procurement Department and complete miscellaneous projects as necessary

• Assist in the development and monitoring of our on-going procurement support plan

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor Degree in: Business Management, Finance, Supply Chain, Logistics, Philosophy or Mathematics

• 6-8 years of related procurement experience

• Experience procuring diverse commodities/services on a regional/global basis
• Functional knowledge of standard business practices in the procurement space
• Ability to prioritize and complete tasks in a matrix, dynamic and sometimes evolving environment
• Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Fluency in writing and speaking English.  Italian or Spanish language skills helpful, but not required
• Intermediate to advanced experience with the Microsoft Office suite of programs (or software substantially similar)
• Able to ensure project deliverables are met, despite changing deadlines or priorities
• Able to work in a local or global virtual team setting
