EnerNOC, has an immediate need for a Commercial Operations Specialist to join our world-class Flexibility Solutions Sales organization. The Flexibility Solutions Sales team at EnerNOC has the objective of expanding EnerNOC’s demand response and distributed energy resources activities with commercial and industrial customers in North America. The Commercial Operations Specialist is responsible for collaborating with Sales Managers and Solutions Engineers to drive flexibility solutions sales strategy.

The Commercial Operations Senior Specialist position provides a unique opportunity for a highly talented individual to drive significant value at a leading energy management firm, and offers exposure to a wide variety of people and disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaming with sales managers and solutions engineers to develop deal strategy
  • Leading the development of proposals and RFP responses
  • Driving the development of business terms deals; participating in customer negotiations
  • Presenting deal economics and approval packages to senior leaders
  • Researching EnerNOC customers and prospects, performing quantitative and qualitative analysis, and compiling the information in customer presentations
  • Performing other duties as required
  • Potential to grow into a management role as the team expands

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; MBA preferred
  • 5-7+ years of rigorous, analytical work experience
  • Proactive, energetic, and customer-centric attitude and ability to quickly forge productive and collegial relationships at all levels of the organization
  • High levels of productivity and efficiency while multi-tasking across a broad set of deadline-oriented tasks, with minimal supervision
  • Strong quantitative aptitude; strong verbal and written communication skills
  • High standards for producing quality work using a variety of skills – research, sales and marketing, and analytical skills will be used and developed
  • Professionalism in communicating with senior internal executives
  • Flexibility to respond to changing needs and opportunities
  • Ability to work well within a team in a rapidly-growing business
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
  • Some travel to visit customers and prospects required

Desired Qualifications:

  • Interest in or experience with the Clean Technology, Energy and/or Smart Grid industries
  • Work, educational or internship experience in a consulting or business environment
  • Leadership experience in business, athletics, non-profit, academic or extracurricular environment
