Reporting to the Chief Information Security Officer, the Senior Cyber Security Engineer- Remote is a technical position with a minimum of (8) years experience in a hands-on technical cyber security role. The Senior Cyber Security Engineer is part of the Security Operations & Engineering team which is responsible for assuring that Constant Contact’s information systems ecosystem, including all; on-premise and cloud-based infrastructure, systems, data and authorized users are sufficiently protected from threats.  

What you’ll do:

  • Planning, configuring, implementing, monitoring, and maintaining the technical security measures necessary for protecting the network, systems, users and data from threats.
  • Identifying and defining CTCT’s attack surface and ensuring that information systems are free of serious weaknesses by running regular vulnerability scans and working with subject matter experts to address any security flaws identified in a timely manner.
  • Assessing, troubleshooting, responding and tracking all security cyber security events and working with the appropriate subject matter experts and/or business units to assure swift resolution.
  • Researching and maintaining subject matter expertise in cyber security incident response processes, including a strong understanding of; Threat Vectors, Malware, Advanced Persistent Threats (APT), Indicators of Compromise (IOC’s), Focused Operators (FO’s) and effective incident response and threat mitigation strategies.
  • Hands-on experience in digital forensics, data analysis, intelligence analysis, malware reversing, network and endpoint security, adversary tracking, and other security-related tasks
  • Aligning Cloud Workload Protection (CWP) and Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) to follow best practices and developing reporting/tracking processes for issues, threats and vulnerabilities
  • Assuring that cloud Key Management Practices are effective

Who you are:

  • At least 10 years of experience required in information technology support and operations
  • At least 8 years of experience required in administering and supporting cyber security processes and solutions with experience and solid knowledge of IT-related processes such as system and information security, system development and change management, computer operations, and data protection
  • Ability to lead troubleshooting exercises of complex cyber security events
  • Ability to effectively manage competing priorities simultaneously and efficiently while maintaining a sense of urgency and attention to detail
  • Ability to evaluate and analyze complex situations to assess the effectiveness of a large-scale technology ecosystem and formulate sound decisions and justifications
