You will be responsible for the design, development, and deployment of microservices on AWS and on-prem servers. You will work with key stakeholders to build highly secure, scalable applications. This position is remote-first in the US. You also have the option to work in a hybrid environment from one of our several offices in the US (Waltham, MA, Boston, MA, Gainesville, FL, Santa Monica, CA).

 
What You’ll do:

  • Provide technical leadership and be a key contributor to a cross-functional, Agile product delivery team
  • Collaborate with Product Management, UX, and architects to deliver scalable, sustainable, and engaging product
  • Mentor junior members of the team
  • Stay on top of industry trends and ensure the team appropriately utilizes the latest technologies and best practices
  • Participate in our Engineering community to learn new trends in the industry, or share best practices that you think will benefit the community.

Who You Are:

  • 8+ years designing, developing, and delivering large-scale, distributed, Web applications in a CI/CD environment
  • Expert working with modern JavaScript frameworks (React), CSS, HTML, building Single Page Applications
  • Experience of Java/Spring/Hibernate
  • Experience designing and developing RESTful services
  • Experience with relational and NoSQL databases
  • Experience with Java and JavaScript unit testing frameworks.
  • Exposure to AWS
  • Ability to articulate engineering design strategies related to scalability, sustainability, performance, and security
