What you’ll do
- Design and implement efficient code scanning and dependency scanning mechanisms using Maven and Gradle.
- Be part of dependency resolution development team working on a distributed, microservices-based system.
- Build and own features end-to-end including unit and integration tests.
- Have the opportunity to develop new language support, integration with prominent SaaS products, and analytics using Go programming language.
- Have the autonomy and the responsibility to design and implement quality features that will be used by customers.
- Use best practices of observability to ensure that the product and the platform have the best reliability and availability for our customers.
- Design and implement plugins for popular IDE systems such as IntelliJ, Eclipse
- Design and build software for large scale production SaaS service.
- Implement API using protobuf/GRPC.
What we're looking for

- Bachelor's degree in engineering with at least 4 years of experience building scalable backends for product/SaaS companies
- 4-6 years of experience with core Java (JDK 11 and above) projects in a production environment.
- Very good understanding of package management technologies such as Maven and Gradle is required
- Proven experience in debugging and profiling JVM based applications
- Ability to build and design technical solutions from scratch and your code and documentation can be used as an example for coding best practices at Endor.
- Knowledge of Java performance tuning, optimization and custom class loading techniques is desirable
- Strong background in building testable and maintainable code.
- Practical experience in designing APIs with one or more frameworks (gRPC [preferred], ReST, GraphQL, Thrift, etc.).
- Scalable Distributed System Experience - understand micro-services and domain-driven design, load balancing, horizontal/vertical scaling, and stateless architectures.
- Architecture - knowledge of data structures and a keen eye for building architectures that scale and extend easily for longevity. Apply data-driven techniques to evaluate and propose architectural choices.
- Ability to discuss tradeoffs between architecture’s choice to influence groups to move in the right direction.
- Able to enjoy working in a fast-moving environment with evolving requirements.
- Ability to solve problems creatively and independently when in uncharted or unfamiliar territory.
- Practical experience in troubleshooting distributed systems and ability to solve root causes.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with Intellij extensions and plugins is a nice to have
- Strong understanding of secure software design principles and dealing with certificates, OAuth2/OIDC, and secure changes.
- Prior experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Lambda functions, or other cloud-native technologies.
- Experience in security, fraud, and anomaly detection use cases
