About the role:

Senior Cloud Engineer shares responsibility in the design, development, and management of our Azure infrastructure.  The person in this role will manage, maintain, and enhance the Azure public cloud environments. They must have experience in provisioning and troubleshooting Azure infrastructure resources and the ability to troubleshoot, identify and resolve very complex problems in a timely and professional manner.

The Sr. Cloud Engineer will also help in the building of new environments for our cloud customers and will be responsible for developing and maintaining these environments for high availability, ease of maintenance, and scalability.  Frequent collaboration with customers will also be important, especially when scheduling maintenance windows and coordinating change management activity.

Working hours: 11 AM - 8 PM CET

Your day will consist of:

  • Implement, support, and maintain 24x7 Azure CSP environments, Citrix and windows technologies.
  • Make ongoing recommendations of Azure, Citrix and Windows policies and standards – strategic planning.
  • Manage multiple large-scale projects in a fast-paced challenging environment and provide leadership to other members of the team.
  • Quickly convert business problems into technical solutions and opportunities.
  • Resolve Azure, Windows and Citrix escalations from other team members.
  • Collaborate with customers and team members to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Maintain and prioritize incidents, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Manage configurations and the deployment of Azure resources in compliance with established technology policies.
  • Recommend technical solutions that will enhance performance, increase redundancy, and add flexibility to the existing infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot Azure performance issues.
  • Maintain system availability and monitoring of critical services. (approx. 1 week per month)
  • Participate in on-call schedule as Azure and Citrix escalation engineer.
  • Maintain the appropriate relationships with 3rd party vendors and evaluate vendor software, and communications products to provide recommendations to leadership.
  • Design and implement data communication architectures in collaboration with key infrastructure stakeholders.
  • Regular participation in change control activities that comply with ITIL change management.
  • Ensure upgrade and backup strategies are well established for core infrastructure.

Here is what it takes to be successful in the role:

  • 6+ years’ experience implementing and supporting Azure, Windows and Citrix technologies.
  • Extensive knowledge of Citrix ADC, CVAD, Citrix Cloud DaaS.
  • Extensive knowledge of Windows technologies: RDS, IIS, GPO’s, Active Directory.
  • Working knowledge of Netscaler Load Balancing solutions and Azure networking.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft CSP program and Lighthouse.
  • Experience with ASR/DR testing and failovers.
  • Citrix CCP-V certification or proven equivalent work experience.
  • AZ-104 certification.
  • Upper-Intermediate level of English or above.
  • Positive attitude, enjoy challenging solutions involving Azure, Citrix and Window architecture and maintenance.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated capability to achieve results under pressure.
  • Self-starter who can work independently on complex issues.

  • Additional Citrix certification.
  • Additional Azure certifications
  • Powershell scripting for deployment automation

Our Education Expectations:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in MIS, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
