About The Team:
LINQ’s Research & Development department is dedicated to driving innovation and continuous improvement across Payments, Nutrition, or Platform teams. Focused on exploring new technologies, optimizing systems, and developing forward thinking solutions, this team plays a critical role in shaping the future of LINQ. Through collaboration, strategic problem-solving, and rigorous testing, they ensure LINQ’s software remains cutting-edge, efficient, and aligned with the evolving needs of our customers.
About The Role:
A Software Engineering Manager at LINQ requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills and strategic thinking to ensure the State Nutrition applications continue to meet business needs while planning for future improvement.
- Technical Leadership: Understand the architecture, design patterns and any custom implementations. Identify and address technical debt to improve maintainability and performance.
- Team Management: Ensure right resources are allocated to various tasks, conduct performance reviews and providing mentorship/constructive feedback to the development team
- Stakeholder Communication: Work closely with product managers and other stakeholders to prioritize requirements. Keep stakeholders informed about project progress.
- Operations Responsibilities: Overseeing resolutions of production issues and ensuring application is secure, compliant and running smoothly.
- Collaboration and Coordination: Working internally with cross-functional teams (QA, DevOps, Customer Support) and managing relationships with any 3rd party vendor or consultants as needed.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- This role is specifically looking for a more hands-on Engineering Manager that can help triage, troubleshoot, support, and guide the team in technical projects, escalations, and architectural decisions. The director overseeing this role is looking for a strong partner to work with architecture to define and set the standard for the teams and products to build towards a stronger enterprise-level solution.

What We Are Looking For:
- At least 8+ years of experience in Software Application Development
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent working experience
- Strong understanding of relational database systems
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming
- 5+ years designing and/or implementing products using SaaS, event driven, and/or micro-services
- Experience with the following technologies: .Net, Angular, Vue, AWS
- Experience leading or managing a team of empowered engineers
- Strong belief in and use of best practices
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders
- Collaborate with teams to clarify design and implementation while meeting project needs
- Collaborate with other developers and architects (when appropriate) to determine optimal solution architecture, efficiency, maintainability and scalability
- Complete projects/tasks in a timely fashion while meeting sprint goals and commitments
- Experience with JavaScript and JavaScript frameworks such as React or Angular
- Experience managing and mentoring other engineers
