Job Summary

The Product Marketing team member will contribute to a team of product marketers that support highly efficient and effective sales and sales enablement within this fast-paced growth company.  The product marketing team creates the tools used by sales team to pitch our solutions, effectively compete in the marketplace and show a differentiated value based solution. The product marketing team creates deliverables that include positioning, pitches, product briefs, demo scripts, competitive intel, conversion kids, win/loss analysis, new product feature launch, and much more.

What You’ll Do Here

  • Own one or more products, collaborate with the product management team and deliver the major deliverables needed by sales to successfully pitch and sell our solutions.
  • Create positioning, personas, pitches, competitive intel, briefs, and additional sales materials and support the sales enablement team in training and certification.
  • Work with customers and prospects to influence and persuade, define and validate product positioning, key messages and details of feature benefit
  • Participate in the Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) definition and documentation including continual evolution of the ICP based on the overall total addressable marketing and market conditions.
  • Hold a library of stats and metrics that can be used to educate and build trust with customers and prospects.
  • Identify market value, benefits and features and document these concisely for sales.
  • Enable sales including developing materials that help sales with all stages of the pipeline: leads, RFI/RFP, evaluation, references and close.
  • Become a trusted advisor, product expert and market expert to the sales team.
  • Work closely with services team to perfect the post sale implementation success.
  • Work closely with product management team to define product requirements and launch new releases including providing expert demos, video, and write ups of new feature value.
  • Support the relationship with industry analyst including the process to be included in grids like Forrester Wave and Gartner MQ’s
  • Become a spokesperson for relevant public relations and analyst events.
  • Analyze competitive market dynamics, understand and prioritize threats from competitors.
  • Create and maintain sales playbooks including positioning, feature/benefits, marketecture.
  • Deliver customer facing presentations to sales and occasionally directly to our clients that are gathered in small and large audiences.
  • Develop and own marketing tools and collateral such as product data sheets, whitepapers, presentations, case studies.
  • Own the content and quality delivery product specific web pages on our corporate website.
  • Own customer stories: collect, design and communicate product use cases and results.
  • Support the product focused agenda at user conferences.
  • Work with the product pricing owners to define and validate product pricing.

 

What You’ll Bring to Us

  • BS/MS degree in marketing or a related field
  • 3+ years of product marketing with B2B SaaS companies 
  • Proven ability to engage with clients
  • Capable of learning our platform and investigating our client's use of the platform 
  • Excellent writing and speaking skills
  • Top notch presentation skills; skilled with PowerPoint
  • Strong analytical skills and knowledge of data collection methods (surveys, focus groups, etc.)
  • Skilled in the use of (but not config) Salesforce and other marketing tools
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to adjust to changing dynamics
  • Experience in working with 3rd party vendors, including negotiations, managing contracts and budgets 
  • An enthusiastic, high-energy team member who is viewed as a “doer” on the team and across internal organizations
