We’re looking for a data-driven and performance-obsessed Senior Director of Growth Marketing to lead acquisition at Zola. This is a highly impactful and visible role reporting to the CMO and regularly liaising with the leadership team, responsible for the full media budget, owning the growth roadmap, and scaling user acquisition with efficiency and impact.

You’ll own Zola’s paid marketing across paid search and paid social while also overseeing ABL (above-the-line) media such as audio, podcasts, influencers, and digital video, and SEO. You’ll partner closely with our VP of Marketing Strategy, Senior Director of Lifecycle, Director of Brand, and in-house creative team to drive cross-channel campaigns that acquire and convert high-value customers; and with our Product and Finance teams cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

  • Own the strategy, execution, and optimization of all paid acquisition channels: paid search, paid social, audio, streaming, affiliate, and emerging formats. Manage to blended and channel-level CAC, CPA, and LTV:CAC targets.
  • Lead the search marketing strategy (SEM + SEO), working closely with in-house teams and agency partners to drive sustainable growth
  • Oversee SEO roadmap and performance, ensuring strong technical execution and content strategy in partnership with product and content teams
  • Develop and test upper-funnel campaigns (e.g., digital video, podcasts, ABL channels) to expand Zola’s reach while maintaining performance discipline
  • Lead growth forecasting, attribution, and incrementality measurement in collaboration with Finance and Data
  • Partner cross-functionally with Product, Data, and Engineering to identify opportunities to improve conversion, optimize landing experiences, and build sustainable growth loops
  • Manage and mentor a layered team (including external agency partners and internal direct reports)

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in performance marketing or growth at a high-growth consumer business or MBA equivalent 
  • Deep expertise in paid search strategy and execution; strong understanding of how to scale SEM profitably and incrementally and a rabid appetite for keeping up with evolving search behaviors, including AI search
  • Hands-on experience managing full-funnel paid media programs, with a track record of hitting aggressive growth goals
  • Experience managing SEO programs and collaborating across content, product, and engineering
  • Highly analytical mindset with comfort in data tools, testing frameworks, and attribution modeling

The salary range for this role is $175,000 - $200,000.  This full-time role will be hybrid at our office in NYC (Tuesdays & Thursdays) or Remote, US.
