General

The E-Commerce Marketing Manager  is a strategic role that will influence critical marketing decisions.  This position will work directly with senior management and executive leadership.  This is a great opportunity to work with cross-functional teams, including product, brand, performance marketing and finance.

What does the job entail?

Go to Market Planning

  • Develop product launch calendar and strategies in collaboration with merchandising, content and product teams.
  • Define positioning, messaging and unique selling points (USPs) for new and key products.
  • Align launch pans with seasonal campaigns and promotional candidates.

Campaign Development and Execution

  • Plan and execute campaigns for various customer segments, partnering with PM and CRM, to drive awareness and conversion.
  • Coordinate with content ops to ensure marketing assets and product content are aligned and ready.
  • Work with merchandising to ensure promoted products are in stock and competitively priced.

Messaging and Creative Direction

  • Develop product marketing briefs for creative teams with key benefits, features and brand tone.
  • Ensure consistency in messaging across all channels, from PDP’s to ads to emails.
  • Drive on-site storytelling that supports campaign themes and sells products.

Customer Insights and Segmentation

  • Conduct market and customer research to identify target segments and shopping behaviors.
  • Define audience personas and tailor campaigns to specific customer needs.
  • Partner with analytics teams to measure campaign reach and engagement by segment.

Performance Measurements and Optimization

  • Track KPIs such as CTR, conversion, ROAS and campaign-attirbuted revenue.
  • Test different messaging, creatives, and offers to improve performance.
  • Share post-campaign analysis with merchandising, content and product teams to inform future strategies.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • With Content Ops: ensure all product marketing assets (copy, images, video) are optimized for on-site and off-site use.
  • With Merchandising:  align promotions with high priority product categories and ensure availability.
  • With Product Management:  coordinate feature launches, site enhancements and PDP improvements that support marketing.

More practical skills needed

  • BA/BS or equivalent, in marketing, brand management
  • 5+ years of professional experience in online marketing, e-commerce, or equivalent role with an analytics preferred
  • Expert in Microsoft Office/GSuite with experience in various analytics tools including but not limited to Google Analytics, Amplitude
  • Experience with Figma
  • Ability to effectively communicate results and data to the internal team and clients
  • Data driven with strong analytical and quantitative skills to identify and present opportunities and also measure success
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Passion for our mission of sustainability - Doing better things in a better way

What we offer:

This position is based in San Francisco, CA,  The  pay range for this role is: $115-130k.  Allbirds routinely evaluates pay rates, and the ranges are subject to change based on market rates and other considerations.  We factor in a number of components when determining starting pay, including the job and level you are hired into, location, skillset, experience and peer compensation.

 Work Environment

Work takes place in an office setting. This job may require working more than 8 hours per day and/or 40 hours a week. It requires the ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods of time and communicate effectively with a diverse audience in person, by phone and by computer. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift, push, and carry up to 10 lbs frequently and up to 15 lbs occasionally.
