Taboola is in search of a dynamic Bid Ops Optimization Engineer for our Global Header Bidding activity who embodies these qualities and is passionate about enhancing user engagement across our diverse portfolio of brands. 

We are looking for an all-star bid ops engineer to join our Tel Aviv team. This person will be responsible to proactively identify optimization opportunities via complex data sets, conduct configurations necessary to improve performance, manage support/ break fix escalations, and work closely with Account managers, RnD and Product on scaling and supporting the activity.

As a Bid Ops Optimization Engineer  you will 

  • Play a vital role in managing day-to-day ad operations tasks - Proactively explore data, dashboards and conduct and ensure account health checks to discover opportunities to optimize and improve our publishers' performance. 
  • Identify novel optimization opportunities and implement them into a systematic daily workflow. Lead the development and execution of AB testing and optimization initiatives across all business units.
  • Act as a subject matter expert and escalation point for issues as they arise from our business teams across the globe. Translate both qualitative and quantitative test results into actionable business insights and relay them to Account manager and clients.
  • Utilize data and research from various sources to establish testing parameters and interpret test outcomes.
  • Work in a diverse global team towards optimizing existing and new accounts: Conversing daily with Account managers, Product RnD and clients too.
  • Collaborate closely with Product teams to support decision-making during the rollout of new features.
  • Support the complex alerts, and perform in-depth troubleshooting including DB analysis and reading system logs to identify and solve complex support issues that were escalated by 1st level monitoring support team
  • Share the knowledge - Write technical notes and troubleshooting procedures to be used by the entire support organization

 

What are the skills a good Bid Op’s Optimization Engineer needs to have? 

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 3-4 years of professional experience in the digital media/ RTB /online publisher space
  • Demonstrated success in leveraging data trends to identify opportunities and formulate actionable strategies for performance enhancement.
  • Solid understanding of web front-end technologies including JSON, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a knack for leading cross-functional teams effectively.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a proven track record of meeting goals and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in SQL.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Fluent English language skills at a native level.
