The Paperspace by DigitalOcean Marketing team raises awareness of Paperspace within the AI developer, enthusiast, and business communities by creating relevant, high-quality educational resources on a variety of cloud computing, GPU hardware, and Deep Learning development topics. All members of the Marketing team are united by a strong interest in working on bleeding-edge Deep Learning technologies & creating AI/ML educational content in order to show the power of the Paperspace platform. 

We are seeking a skilled Technical Content Writer specialized in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) to join our dynamic team. We want people who are inspired to make technology accessible to everyone by teaching others about developing deep learning technologies on the Cloud. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both writing and technical understanding of AI/ML concepts and technologies. You will be responsible for creating engaging, accurate, and informative content that educates our audience about AI/ML developments, applications, best practices, and advancements.

Responsibilities:

Content Creation:

  • Research, plan, and produce high-quality written content, including blog posts, articles, whitepapers, case studies, documentation, and technical guides related to AI/ML topics.
  • Create tutorials around AI/ML development for the Paperspace Blog site by researching and identifying relevant topics, writing tutorials with Python code, and staying up-to-date with latest trends, breakthroughs, and industry developments in AI/ML.
  • Translate complex AI/ML concepts into clear, concise, and engaging content accessible to diverse audiences, including developers, data scientists, executives, and enthusiasts.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts, engineers, and researchers to gather information and ensure content accuracy and relevance.

Content Optimization:

  • Ensure content adheres to brand voice, style guidelines, and best practices for readability and user experience.
  • Incorporate multimedia elements, such as images, infographics, and videos, to enhance content effectiveness and engagement.
  • Conduct regular content audits and updates to maintain accuracy, relevance, and quality standards.
  • Participating in the Content peer review process by providing and accepting feedback to ensure content meets our high standards. 

Content Promotion and Distribution:

  • Collaborate with other teams (Product, Analytics, SEO, etc.) to maximize the impact of our educational content.  
  • Engage with the AI/ML community through forums, discussions, and networking events to promote content and build relationships.
  • Monitor content performance metrics, analyze audience feedback, and iterate content strategies to optimize reach, engagement, and conversion.

Knowledge Sharing and Documentation:

  • Contribute to internal knowledge sharing initiatives by documenting best practices, lessons learned, and technical insights related to AI/ML.
  • Identifying timely and relevant educational topics by staying up to date with emerging trends in AI/ML development and using internal and external data sources to assess developer interest.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including user guides, API references, and developer documentation, to support product adoption and usage.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Technical Writing, Journalism, or a related field.
  • 3+ years minimum of job related experience in technical content writing for Deep Learning, Machine Learning, and AI. 
  • Professional experience as a Python developer for Deep Learning technologies.
  • Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts, algorithms, frameworks, and technologies, such as deep learning, neural networks, natural language processing, and reinforcement learning.
  • Ability to convey complex technical concepts in clear, concise, and accessible language as educational content to help developers succeed.
  • You should be comfortable coding, writing, and learning about topics like how to fully train and inference Deep Learning models from scratch, developing and deploying AI application demos, using GPU hardware, APIs, using Docker containers and container orchestration, data engineering, and cloud data storage.
  • Please share writing samples in your application that demonstrate your expertise in this area. We are especially interested in candidates who have experience in developing interactive learning experiences for developers like IPython Notebooks.
  • Proficiency in SEO principles and content optimization techniques.
  • A strong command of the English language and an ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, accessible prose. Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with impeccable grammar, punctuation, and syntax.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or higher in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field.
  • Certifications in technical writing, AI/ML, or related disciplines.
  • Experience with programming languages commonly used in AI/ML development, such as Python, R, or TensorFlow.
  • Prior experience working in a technology company or startup environment.
  • Active participation in AI/ML communities, forums, or open-source projects.
  • Portfolio of published articles, blog posts, or technical documentation demonstrating expertise in AI/ML content creation.

The salary range for this role is specific to candidates located within the U.S. and will vary for candidates outside the U.S..
