The Director of Inclusion & Impact will lead all of Squarespace's Diversity, Inclusion, Belonging and Social Responsibility strategies and programs. You will oversee the internal team and will collaborate with leadership, employees, ERGs and external partners to create and align all of our efforts to our goals, strategy and mission. An emphasis on diversity-related ESG methodologies and approaches, strategy development, measurement and experimentation will be integral as we continue to grow globally.

You will report directly to the Chief People Officer and can be based in our Dublin or New York City office (hybrid/flexible).

You'll Get To:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive inclusion and impact strategy that aligns with our values and goals.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to integrate diversity and inclusion principles into all aspects of our operations and practices, and ensure compliance in social and governance objectives.
  • Develop training programs, workshops, and educational initiatives to raise awareness and promote understanding of diversity and inclusion issues.
  • Partner with the People team to ensure fair hiring, promotion, and retention practices.
  • Maintain and evolve existing programs, including employee resource groups (ERGs) to support the needs of multiple affinity groups and foster a culture of belonging.
  • Oversee social initiatives, including corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs and intersectional environmental sustainability efforts
  • Foster partnerships with external organizations, community groups, and vendors to advance diversity and inclusion goals, and social and governance objectives.
  • Stay abreast of best practices and developments in diversity, inclusion, and social and governance issues incorporating relevant insights into organizational strategies.
  • Represent us in relevant forums, conferences, and events related to diversity and inclusion, and social and governance matters.
  • Collaborate with teams to ensure accurate and compliant reporting of metrics, disclosures, and commitments, aligning with regulatory requirements and ESG standards.

Who We're Looking For:

  • 7+ years of experience leading diversity, inclusion, and social and governance principles and developing successful programs.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Demonstrated knowledge and hands-on experience with diversity, inclusion, and impact concepts, issues, and best practices.
  • On top of the evolving landscape of regulatory and compliance standards; can quickly identify and recommend ways to adjust to changes.
  • Proficiency in building relationships, conveying information, and leading group interactions with finesse, with the ability to engage and inspire others across diverse perspectives
  • Demonstrated leadership and project management skills, a capacity to initiate change and influence partners across organizational levels.
  • Experience working with employee resource groups (ERGs) and diverse communities.
  • Certifications or training in diversity, equity, and inclusion (e.g., SHRM Diversity & Inclusion Certificate) and social and governance frameworks (e.g., ESG standards) are desirable.

Cash Compensation Range: $203,500 - $327,750 USD

The base salary for this position will vary based on job-related criteria including relevant skills, experience, and location, among other factors.

In addition to the cash compensation above (which includes base salary and, where applicable for eligible roles, may include on-target commissions or overtime pay), all Squarespace employees are eligible to receive equity in the company as part of their total compensation.
