What You’ll Do: 

This role is focused on introducing Convene to prospective clients. As a Sales Specialist, your primary duties will include discovery, qualifications, and full management of inbound leads. All lead generation activities are recorded, tracked, and measured using Salesforce and SalesLoft.

  • Rapidly respond to all client inquiries and other communications
  • Converting small inbound leads to definite bookings (1-30 participants)
  • Proactively solicit new business for the region 
  • Support the administrative functions of the sales team in building out opportunities, client proposals, and contracts 
  • Conduct and coordinate thorough site inspections, client appointments, and client entertainment
  • Generate contracts to client specifications while adhering to internal pricing guidelines
  • Maintain extensive knowledge of all Convene locations, including but not limited to capacity charts, zone selling, and package pricing
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of competitive set and develop relationships with hotel and conference center counterparts
  • Speak the company language as it relates to sales and operations
  • Join and be actively involved with at least one industry professional organization
  • Be a professional brand ambassador for Convene
  • Reach and exceed budgeted goals per quarter
  • Attend and participate in sales meetings and be prepared to discuss what you are working on/what you need assistance with to close business
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, communication with team members, clients, property operations partners

What We Look For:

  • Some Air/Train travel required
  • Flexible and long hours are sometimes required.
  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance
  • Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
  • Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time

Base Salary:

Salary Min: $58,000 Salary Max: $62,000

This role is also eligible for Convene's sales commission program. 

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.
