Job Application for Quantitative Developer (Python) at Tower Research Capital

Tower Research Capital, a high-frequency proprietary trading firm founded in 1998, seeks a Quantitative Developer to join one of our trading teams in New York or Chicago.

Responsibilities

Developing Python tools and code used in research and trading
Improving existing research and trading code and developing new analysis tools to be used by researchers
Working on making new datasets available within the platform in a generic, flexible and high performance manner
Assisting researchers in coding and debugging tasks
Managing and monitoring code releases during US timezone

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). A Master's degree is preferred
Proficiency in Python and statistical libraries like Numpy and Pandas
1 to 2 years experience in Python development and some exposure to C++ development in a production/industry environment
Strong knowledge of git, linux and shell scripting
Collaborative software development experience
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative and geographically distributed environment
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Nice to Have: Knowledge of equity or futures markets, especially related to reference data, symbology and connectivity.

Anticipated New York annual base salary range $120,000 - $200,000, plus eligible for discretionary bonus
