Tower Research Capital, a high-frequency proprietary trading firm founded in 1998, seeks a Quantitative Developer to join one of our trading teams in New York or Chicago.

Responsibilities
  • Developing Python tools and code used in research and trading
  • Improving existing research and trading code and developing new analysis tools to be used by researchers
  • Working on making new datasets available within the platform in a generic, flexible and high performance manner
  • Assisting researchers in coding and debugging tasks
  • Managing and monitoring code releases during US timezone
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). A Master's degree is preferred
  • Proficiency in Python and statistical libraries like Numpy and Pandas
  • 1 to 2 years experience in Python development and some exposure to C++ development in a production/industry environment
  • Strong knowledge of git, linux and shell scripting
  • Collaborative software development experience
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative and geographically distributed environment
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Nice to Have: Knowledge of equity or futures markets, especially related to reference data, symbology and connectivity.

Anticipated New York annual base salary range $120,000 - $200,000, plus eligible for discretionary bonus
