Base is planning to bring a million developers and a billion users onchain. We need your help to make that happen.
We believe that the onchain platform is the most important builder platform since the internet (“online”). We believe that the onchain platform should be open source, free to use, and globally available. And we believe that in order to make it really work, we need all hands on deck, working together to scale in a secure, decentralized manner.
At Base, we live by our Stay Based values: we do the right thing, work hard, stay optimistic, prioritize the team, and push creative boundaries—all while building the future of onchain. We value a Zone 3+ work ethic, where our team rises to the challenge, embraces hard weeks, and makes small to significant personal tradeoffs when necessary to drive impact and innovation.
We’re looking for world class Developer Advocates to help bring the next billion users onchain by building a world class onchain developer experience and creating engaging onchain experiences. In this role, you will partner closely with Base builders and ensure our developer tools, documentation, and builder solutions are of the highest quality. - Create and maintain technical documentation for Base's tools, libraries, and APIs, ensuring accuracy and quality
- Create compelling technical content, including blog posts, tutorials, videos, and presentations
- Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to provide builder feedback and influence product roadmap decisions
- Unlock Base builders by reducing bugs, creating self-serve assets, shipping custom builds, serving as the initial user, etc.
- Support and foster our developer community, providing hands-on support, collecting feedback, and capturing insights
- Evangelize online and in-person to increase adoption and usage of the onchain stack
What we look for in you (ie. job requirements):
- 2+ years experience as a Technical Writer, Developer Experience Engineer, or related role, with a proven track record of creating impactful developer documentation and tools
- 1+ years of experience building onchain
- Fluent in frontend tools such as Typescript and Next.js
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environment without much oversight
- Open source project contributions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A bias towards shipping and data-informed improvement
Nice to haves:
- Experience shaping content for a variety of technical tooling
- Experience working in a startup environment
- Engagement with onchain developer communities
- You’re based
- Crypto-forward experience, including familiarity with onchain activity such as interacting with Ethereum addresses, using ENS, and engaging with dApps or blockchain-based services.
