HelloFresh is in search of an Associate Director of Design to join our internal Brand Creative team. The ideal candidate will partner with the Senior Director of Creative and Associate Director of Copy, to help lead and grow our New-York-based Brand Creative Team, while helping to bring our brands to life across every aspect of the business—from setting visual design standards across channels, to developing innovative video content that helps boost brand awareness, to evolving our brand guidelines. You see the big picture, but also believe that great brands and great design comes down to execution and the details.

The ideal candidate has experience in developing performance-driven creative across all platforms, as well as conceptualizing and executing brand campaigns that include everything from paid social, to out-of-home, to TV commercials. In addition, you’ll lead a team of talented designers, foster their professional development, and create the ideal conditions for them to do great work. This role is equal parts people manager and creative. 

You will...

  • Oversee the development and execution of creative campaigns for both growth and brand marketing 
  • Drive performance marketing assets and channels to the next level
  • Lead the team to develop innovative creative across all video platforms including Paid Social (YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok) and also streaming and television
  • Work closely with our in-house studio team on both still and video creative
  • Manage the daily work moving through the Brand Creative team, while also being hands on and contributing to team outputs
  • Work cross-departmentally to ensure projects are moving according to timelines, and all necessary assets are in place
  • Guide project briefing and scoping to ensure a balance of results and great creative work
  • Foster an environment that encourages intelligent risk taking, innovation and creativity
  • Grow, mentor and inspire a creative team of visual designers
  • Assume a leadership role on the brand team

You have...

  • A background in graphic design, art direction or creative direction
  • Experience being on set for both photo and video productions (experience working on TV spots is a plus)
  • Relevant experience with high-growth tech and/or lifestyle brands
  • 7+ years’ experience at a creative/branding agency or design-led consumer brand
  • 3+ years’ experience in a creative leadership role
  • Working knowledge of design software and a hands-on approach to the work
  • A strong, dynamic portfolio that showcases you skills in both still and video work
  • Strengths in visual storytelling through images and video creative
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Work on food and beverage is a major plus
