About Role

The Pre-Sales Solutions Architect – Cloud & Cybersecurity is a senior technical leader responsible for designing secure, scalable, and compliant cloud solutions tailored to enterprise customer needs. This role combines deep expertise in cloud platforms and cybersecurity frameworks to support the sales process, acting as a trusted advisor to clients. You will work closely with sales, engineering, and product teams to develop architectures that address business challenges while ensuring robust security and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Engagement & Discovery:

  • Partner with sales teams to understand customer business goals, technical environments, and security requirements.
  • Conduct discovery workshops to assess cloud readiness, threat landscapes, and compliance obligations.
  • Build strong relationships with technical and executive stakeholders.

Solution Design & Architecture:

  • Design hybrid and multi-cloud architectures using AWS, Azure, GCP, and private cloud platforms.
  • Integrate cybersecurity controls including identity and access management (IAM), encryption, firewalls, SIEM, and endpoint protection.
  • Ensure solutions meet compliance standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, and HIPAA.
  • Architect secure cloud migration strategies and data protection frameworks.

Technical Enablement & Presentations:

  • Deliver technical presentations, demos, and proof-of-concept (PoC) environments.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into business value for non-technical audiences.
  • Support sales enablement through training and documentation.

Proposal Development & Documentation:

  • Create technical proposals, SOWs, architecture diagrams, and compliance summaries.
  • Respond to RFPs/RFIs with detailed solution descriptions and implementation plans.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure feasibility and alignment with delivery capabilities.

Market & Technology Awareness:

  • Stay current with emerging cloud and cybersecurity technologies, threats, and trends.
  • Analyze competitor offerings and position Gruve’s solutions effectively.
  • Educate internal teams on cloud security advancements and best practices.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field or commensurate experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in cloud architecture, cybersecurity, or pre-sales engineering roles.
  • Deep understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cybersecurity frameworks.
  • Experience with security technologies such as firewalls, SIEM, IAM, DLP, and endpoint protection.
  • Strong grasp of compliance standards and risk assessment methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualification

  • Certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Security Engineer, or equivalent.
  • Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Ansible), and cloud automation.
  • Familiarity with MSSP offerings and managed security services.
  • Exposure to cloud-native security tools and zero-trust architectures.

Salary Range

$150,000 to $190,000 USD
