The Role

In search of a supervising producer looking to make the jump to EP. This is a staff position that will require you to manage a team of producers hungry to produce compelling content for a well-known brand. Organization is key, as you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day of numerous shows, and producers. You will be responsible for designing and maintaining a system for efficient workflow that
intersects with every other department at the company. You will be the point person for the successful
production of our content overall. Must be a self-starter, and 100% accountable for tasks assigned. Also must be adept at managing various skill levels of producers from beginning to seasoned. We are big on clear communication, accountability and kindness.

You Will

  • Work with the VP of Programming & Development to develop and produce series across existing
  • Oversee video production from conception through completion and delivery, inclusive of YouTube as well as social platforms.
  • Manage a group of producers and hold them to high creative standards.
  •  Manage day to day operations of producers.
  •  Manage all content edits and quality control.
  •  Help producers create one-sheets.
  • Create and maintain production workflows.
  • Collaborate with Graphics, Marketing, and PR teams to help create look and feel and promotion strategies for each project.
  • Liaise with necessary departments (talent, legal, social, graphics, etc) to usher shows through
  • Production lead on all shows.
  • Edit show scripts and work with operations team to track project status, post-production schedule, oversee series
    budgets, and source outside project-based talent.
  • Identify and hire quality production companies, freelancers, and crew for projects.
  • Work with Brand Partnerships team to ensure the built-if-sold process is smooth for Original
  • Improve and provide guidance in boosting production quality.
  • Identify and manage execution of special editorial projects.

You Have

  • 10+ years experience in video production
  • Solid production rolodex of Producers, Directors, Writers and Editors
  • Deep familiarity with the Complex video voice and style and the needs & habits of the Complex
  • Meticulous organization and comfort with overseeing many moving parts
  • Experience successfully managing a team
  • Experience managing multiple shows simultaneously.
  • Experience with video production and working with multiple stakeholders
  • Strong production skills
  • Understanding of what makes a great video and excitement about the role of video in the future
  •  Innovative
  • Creative drive to explore brand new approaches to video storytelling
  • Awareness of what competitors are doing in video
  • High level of emotional intelligence
