We’re looking to add an Engineering Lead to the Flywheel Attract and Engage product group. This role oversees a small family of teams and provides technical, product, and team level leadership to those teams, and this person will be hands-on in the code while also having the opportunity to grow successful direct reports, and run productive teams. 

About the team

The Flywheel Product Team is responsible for spinning HubSpot’s enterprise Flywheel faster.   We build for HubSpot’s front line reps, ops teams and partners so they can perform their best work and continue to accelerate their ability to deliver value for customers at scale. 

The Attract and Engage group accelerates Hubspot’s flywheel by creating simplicity for our Marketing, Sales, and Ops users.  We have a self-service mindset and build holistic solutions in collaboration with data science, automation, and machine learning teams.  We tackle complex problems that range from data management architecture, routing the right lead to the right rep at the right time, and amazing user experiences that let Sales reps focus most on what matters.  By joining our team you’ll develop expertise across a wide variety of the HubSpot product suite, technologies, and problem spaces, and see the connection of your work to the engine that drives HubSpot!

In this role you will: 

  • Direct a team of engineers in creating capabilities that deliver accurate, high quality data and feedback loops to support our lead management and sales operations.
  • Foster an inclusive environment within small cross-functional teams of engineers, product managers, designers, and analysts.
  • Collaborate and build trusted relationships with HubSpotters all over the company, whether in engineering, product, design, research, marketing, or sales. 
  • Deliver value iteratively by envisioning, experimenting, building, and monitoring the performance of new features and tools that contribute to HubSpots growth.
  • Get direct exposure to how HubSpot works as a business!

You may be a fit if:

  • You have experience with data architectures (MDM, Data Mesh, etc.) or data platforms and tooling (Snowflake, Amplitude, Looker) and you are not afraid to dive into the data in partnership with our operations and analytics teams.
  • Experience working with Go To Market teams, internal product teams, business process automation, and/or customized CRM implementations.
  • You demonstrate a strong user focus with the ability to understand user needs and empathize with the challenges they face.
  • You not only get excited about big technical challenges, but being close to our business and go-to-market strategies.
  • You have experience mentoring/coaching technical team leads.

  • Engineering Leads are actively involved as a player-coach in building software and making products to solve customer problems. They are curious and involved in the technology as well as the people on their teams.
  • They are hands-on coding
  • They have a strong technical vision for how to implement the product vision. This can include working with teams they oversee and external teams to ensure that we are solving problems the best way for internal customers.
  • They think about and implement ideas to push teams to improve technically.
  • They work effectively across the engineering and product organization to cultivate a strong product vision for their teams, and are responsible for the mission, direction, and alignment.
  • They are responsible for the engineers on their team and provide mentoring, coaching, and feedback to help them grow and succeed in their role.
  • They create and foster diverse teams and an inclusive culture

Cash compensation range: 197000-316000 USD Annually

The cash compensation above includes base salary, on-target commission for employees in eligible roles, and annual bonus targets under HubSpot’s bonus plan for eligible roles. In addition to cash compensation, some roles are eligible to participate in HubSpot’s equity plan to receive restricted stock units (RSUs). Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay. Individual compensation packages are based on a few different factors unique to each candidate, including their skills, experience, qualifications and other job-related reasons.
