As a Strategic Marketing Lead in the Southwest Region, your responsibilities will anchor around enabling Compass Marketing Advisor excellence. 

You will work with Marketing teams across the region, providing them with strategic guidance, branding and design expertise, and best in class service. You will partner with the Regional President, Director of Operations, and local Marketing leaders to get guidance on the most important and impactful projects to plug in to.  You will additionally own and manage strategic marketing initiatives for the region and assist in any custom projects requiring your high level of expertise. As a senior member of the team, you will join key leadership meetings and are expected to be a key driver of culture and collaboration by sharing best practices, driving clarity, and mentoring junior team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be the Compass Marketing liaison for M&A projects and assist in integrating new brokerages into the Compass service model and branding guidelines

  • Exemplify what “excellence” looks like by providing direct white-glove service and strategic guidance to a Marketing Advisors, this may look like (but not limited to):

    • Sitting in high-impact agent meetings with Dedicated Marketing Advisors

    • Working 1:1 with Marketing Advisors to learn client relationship building techniques, organization ideas, design skills and more

    • Assisting MAs in writing great strategies that allow customers to maximize their budget effectiveness against tactics that grow their business and achieve their goals; this includes branding, print advertising, digital, social, direct mail, video, paid media, etc

    • Educating MAs on how to write great design briefs

    • Provide actionable feedback for MAs to grow and learn in their role

    • Assisting with new Marketing Advisor onboarding

  • Act as a subject matter expert and voice of the customer by deeply understanding market performance, competitive landscape, and regional nuances

  • Serve as the first point of escalation amongst Marketing Advisors for day to day customer issues

  • Thoughtfully analyze and optimize customers’ marketing plans to inform future strategies, exceeding agent expectations

  • Partner with specialized departments on advertising, press, and luxury, as applicable

  • Cultivate trust and a positive culture with Marketing Advisors as an expert responsible for making Compass Marketing best-in-class

  • Project manage a wide range of strategic marketing initiatives at the regional/brand level, spearheading & running large scale initiatives from sponsorships to local brand & agent marketing campaigns

  • Be a culture carrier who inspires and empowers those around you with a positive and constructive approach to creating and implementing change

Job Skills & Requirements

  • 4-6 years of marketing experience

  • Strong understanding of real estate and local market nuances

  • Possess a deep understanding of marketing strategy and planning with the ability to identify the right tactics across a multitude of marketing channels

  • Expert communicator with great interpersonal skills; building and managing relationships with empathy while handling objections comes naturally

  • Excellent project management skills with a proven track record to meet deadlines on time and within budget

  • Ability to work independently, taking ownership over your own projects while working collaboratively in a team environment to drive best practices while maintaining a meticulous attention to detail

  • Comfortable with a fast-paced environment, evolving responsibilities, and wearing multiple hats.

  • Passionate about the intersection of marketing and technology with the ability to speak to the benefits of it

  • Experience working in real estate marketing, and/or at a luxury brand is a big plus

  • Ability to travel to local branch offices, regional meetings and occasional out of town travel as required - At most, once per month to a regional city. 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Apple Office Suite (Keynote Specifically), and Google Suite products

  • Working knowledge of top social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, & YouTube, and their ad platform (i.e Facebook Ads Manager)

  • Proficient in Adobe Suite products (Indesign, Photoshop, etc.) is a plus

  • Experience with Workfront project management software is a plus

  • Real estate experience preferred
