We are seeking a Senior Product Manager to own the product vision, roadmap, and planning, of the commission experiences for both agents and staff, leading product for the Transaction Governance team, as part of the transaction journey on our platform. This team ensures a seamless commission process that fosters payment transparency and efficiency so the agents can focus on their core strength: building relationships with their clients and closing deals. This role also supports staff tools that enhance productivity by iterating on intuitive and scalable integrated workflows as well as automation initiatives, so staff can best serve our customers.

A successful candidate will thrive on cross-functional collaboration, deeply understanding complex business use cases across geographical regions, and bringing those intuitively to life in the product. Understanding the big-picture impact of decisions is your superpower and you seek to optimize for scalability and repeatability across your product area. Your communication skills are impeccable and you enjoy rallying stakeholders, including executives and larger groups, to find consensus and even compromise. You can think on the fly and not only apply but communicate and rationalize prioritization decisions. You have extensive product management experience, ideally including FinTech, or financial services/products.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the full product lifecycle from ideation to UX design, development, and launch for products in the Commission's space for both agent and staff-facing experiences. 
  • Act as Product Owner for the Transaction Governance team, participating in all necessary team ceremonies to maintain shared understanding, stay on top of delivery goals, and make prioritization decisions.
  • Manage and execute a roadmap of innovative, scalable, and effective products and features to benefit Compass agents, staff, and operational teams.
  • Identify creative and innovative opportunities to streamline and improve staff tool flexibility, and data capture, so internal teams can scalably support our agents.
  • Collaborate with UX, Engineering, and cross-functional business teams to identify scalable solutions, crafting detailed product requirements documents that lead to intuitive and valuable user experiences that are loved by our customers and staff.
  • Lead the annual and quarterly planning cycles for the Transaction Governance Team, in partnership with Engineering, including gathering cross-functional inputs and determining resource prioritization.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience in product management roles building and launching successful products
  • BS in Business, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Strong technical background, either from academic, engineering, or hands-on product development experience, with an ability to assess and contribute to engineering discussions related to a product
  • A deep sense of user empathy and demonstrated ability to build experiences that users love
  • Strong consensus and relationship-building skills, with experience marshaling resources across different functions of an organization
  • A proven track record of ownership, thoroughness, proactivity, and ability to deliver on cross-functional efforts
  • A propensity to and comfort with using data paired with customer/stakeholder feedback and needs to ruthlessly prioritize your team’s bandwidth
  • Ability to effectively gather and prioritize user requirements from disparate sources, going beyond users requests to get to key user needs, and the ability to rationalize across and resolve stakeholder differences

Nice to have:

  • Proven track record of collaboration with cross-functional operational stakeholders (e.g., finance and support teams) to drive alignment and ensure successful product launches
  • Experience designing, implementing, and managing API-based data integrations, with a deep understanding of technical specifications, error handling, and scalability considerations to optimize product functionality

Compensation: The base pay range for this position is $100K-$150K annually; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Bonuses and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of benefits. Base pay is based on market location. The minimum wage for the position will always be met.
