We are seeking a Director of Sales Operations to lead our Sales Operations team for the Genomics sequencing business. This role will focus on driving sales force effectiveness for our growing oncology and neuropsychiatry clinician-facing sales teams, in addition to sales forecasting and reporting for the business. This is a highly visible role with significant team leadership responsibilities that directly impact our ability to make Tempus products and services accessible for all patients.
Responsibilities
Drive sales force effectiveness across multiple clinician-facing sales teams and roles, through activities including:
Sales force design
Territory mapping and capacity planning
Quota setting
Incentive compensation plan development
Sales enablement tool development
Proactive identification and execution of opportunities to improve sales team efficiency
Collaboration and communication with commercial leadership, sales team, and cross-functional stakeholders
Lead sales planning and generation of business insights, including:
Development and maintenance of sales forecasts
Business performance reporting for executive leadership
Analysis of sales and customer data to guide sales force priorities
Lead, coach, and mentor our Sales Operations team
Required Qualifications
7+ years of experience in an analytical business role such as business strategy, finance, sales operations, and/or business intelligence, including 2+ years of experience in sales operations
3+ years of experience managing direct reports
Strong business acumen, including the ability to translate data insights into action plans
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Entrepreneurial mindset and comfort with ambiguity
Solutions-oriented and biased to action
Preferred Qualifications
Commercial experience in oncology, with clinician-facing products, and/or within a life sciences organization
Salesforce.com and Looker experience
