Chief Security Advisor - Healthcare

Overview:

Tanium is looking for a seasoned Field CIO / Strategist with firsthand “been there done that” knowledge in Healthcare / Pharmaceutical Cybersecurity and IT Operations space. The primary focus of the role is to position Tanium by providing executive alignment, thought leadership and leverage your industry knowledge to provide our field marketing and sales team access to key individuals inside the Healthcare industry space. This role will report to the VP of Global Executive Engagement and will be a US based role, with some Global coverage for the industry. The ideal candidate will have served in a senior leadership role in the Healthcare Industry and will have a record of success as an industry expert.  This will include having close ties with industry executives and organizations like HiSAC and HIMMS.

 

What you’ll do:

· Focus on driving incremental new revenue by providing access to and building relevance with Sr Level execs at current and potential customers

· Create the voice in the Healthcare space enabling a high-level strategic partnership with Tanium Sales

· Participate speaking/panel sessions to promote Tanium and as an expert in the space of Cybersecurity and IT Operations for the industry

· Host roundtables - provide best practices, strategy, elevated discussions, engaged in all relevant national events

· Conduct Executive (CIO/CISO) level meetings - focused on net new logos

· Serve as Executive Sponsor on key industry accounts to develop and implement a strategic top-down sales plan to attract the attention of CIO’s and expand our footprint in the market

· Partner with Alliances and GSIs to foster “sell to” and “sell through” motion

· Build, deepen and maintain high level contacts with current and prospective business partners to increase market penetration and brand recognition. Meet one-on-one with CIO’s and CISO’s to educate them on the advantages of the Tanium platform

· Deliver presentations on Tanium platform in support of Marketing and pipeline generation activities

· Business Plan & Roadmap Alignment with customers

· Identify and attend relevant industry and regional events and trade shows to network and develop new business opportunities. Use conferences to increase brand recognition and product penetration in the assigned regions

· Build and test Champions and Economic Buyers in key opportunities in support of MEDDPICC and sales process

· Develop reference architecture and marchitecture for the industry as a tool for customer engagement.

· Partner and participate as part of the AVPs leadership cadence for assigned territories. While the role will be industry focused, it will also involve supporting large strategic sales opportunities in other industries

· Position may be required to travel up to 60%+ to cover industry events and related customer engagements

 

We’re looking for someone with:

 

Education

 BS/BA degree in a related field or industry experience

 

Experience and Qualifications

A minimum of 15+ years related experience in the Healthcare space with strong Cybersecurity and IT Operations background.  Prior experience as a CIO is highly desired.

Strong working knowledge of the Technology vertical and how IT functions within it, as well as how technology decisions are made

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Active social media user and speaker for industry events / forums

A team player able to work effectively in a team fostered, multi-tasking environment

Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Word, plus Salesforce, and Clari

What you’ll get

The annual base salary range for this full-time position is $160,000 to $450,000. This range is an estimate for what Tanium will pay a new hire. The actual annual base salary offered may be adjusted based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, location, education, skills, training, and experience.
